      Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1769-1772; Liber AA 2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 99. At the request of Thomas Snowden the following Deed was recorded April 5, 1770
      Indenture made April 5, 1770; Thomas Rutland, Gentleman of Anne Arundel County, Maryland in consideration of 242 pounds 9 shillings sterling and Anne Welsh, widow of Benjamin Welsh in consideration of 5 shillings current money paid by Thomas Snowden s/o Thomas of PGCo, Gentleman have sold a tract called "Bacon Hall" containing 52 ¾ acres and beginning at a bounde white oak the east side of a marsh near the head of a Piney Branch; also part of a tract called "Snowden and Welsh in Defiance of Williams and Clark" containing 133 acres and bounded by "Wintersells Range". Signed Thomas Rutland, Anne Welsh in the presence of George Steuart, Richard Snowden and acknowledged before George Steuart and at the same time Ann Rutland w/o Thomas Rutland relinquished her right of dower
