      Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records 1787-1789; Liber HH-2 {Abstract by Mike Marshall}; Page 390. At the request of Nathan Searce the following Deed was recorded August 27, 1788
      Indenture made August 27, 1788; between Thomas Perkins and Cassandra Perkins his wife executors of the will and last will and testament of Edmund Casteel of one part and Nathan Scarce, planter of the other part. Whereas Edmund Casteel in his last will and testament did direct that a tract called "Edmunds Frolick Enlarged" be sold after the death of his wife Rebecca Casteel and he money equally divided among his several children and did appoint Cassandra Casteel his daughter, wife of Thomas Perkins by a subsequent intermarriage, his whole and sole executrix. And whereas Rebecca Casteel being now dead. Now this indenture witnesseth that Thomas Perkins and Cassandra Perkins his wife in consideration of 5 shillings have sold unto Nathan Scarce part of "Edmunds Frolick Enlarged" containing 178 acres and bounded on the first line of Capt. Coolidge's heirs land, Catharine Casteel's part of said tract, the westernmost corner of Mr. Ridgway's part of of said tract, the dividing line between Ridgway's and Perkins part of said tract, John Knott's part of said tract. Signed Thomas Perkins, Cassandra Perkins (and relinquished her right of dower) in the presence of and acknowledged before Frank Leeke, John Smith Brookes
