BD1:362-363. Thomas French, sheriff of Frederick County, recorded sale 31 March 1775 from George Beckwith for £45..11 delivers one sorrel horse, 8 yrs old; one sorrel mare 7 years old; one black mare 12 years old; 5 head of cows, four 2-year old cattle, 15 hogs and 7 head of sheep.

Thomas French recorded deed 1 April 1775, from George Poe for £100, tract called The Forrest, originally granted to Osborn Sprigg for 300 acres; metes and bounds given for 100 acres; if sum paid by 1 September next, sale is void. Signed before Bartholomew Booth, Archibald Boyd. George Poe recorded release of the aforesaid mortgage, 17 Feb. 1776, from Thomas French with receipt for £105..5 in full satisfaction.
