      Indenture made August 29, 1771; Henry Rozer, Daniel Carroll and Notley Young, Gentleman, trustees of Charles Carroll, Esq. for the purpose of erecting a Town called Carrollsburgh on Potomack River in consideration of 6 pounds sterling money paid by Burton Clark has sold "Lot Number 242" which he drew in a lottery.
