      THIS INDENTURE made the Fifteen day of August 1774 Between HENRY UTTERBACK and FRANKY his Wife of one part and HARMAN UTTERBACK both of County of FAUQUIER Witnesseth that the said Henry Utterback and Frankey his Wife for sum of Ninety pounds current money of Virginia hath sold unto Harman Utter-back his heirs and assigns all that land containing Two hundred and eighty three acres in County of Culpeper and Parish of Bromfield and in the Great Fork of the Rappahannock River & bounded Beginning at three pines Corner to a Patent granted to ROBERT COLEMAN runs thence Northwest to two red oaks Corner to said Coleman by Bullock Run thence down said Run West to NORMANS KNOCKING PLACE thence North to two pines on the said run thence Southwest to a line of a Patent granted to JOSEPH BLUDWORTH & CONRADE AMBURGE thence to the beginning .. . .

      At a Court held for Culpeper County August the 15th 1774 Franky Utterback This Indenture was acknowledged by Henry Utterback and Franky his Wife Parties thereto she having been first privily examined as the Law directs and the Memorandum of Livery of Seisen & Receipt endorsed also acknowledged by said Henry & are ordered to be recorded.

      TO ALL PEOPLE I HENRY OTTERBACK & ANN his Wife sendeth greeting. Know Ye that I the said Henry Otterback & Anne his Wife of Parish of St. Mark in County of Culpeper in the Northern Neck of Virginia for sum of Five shillings paid by my son HERMON OTTERBACK but more especially for the love which we bear towards my said son have given unto sd Son Hermon Otterback 87 acres of land being part of a tract of my land in County aforesd in the Little Fork of Rappahanock and bounded Begining at a large dead pine Corner to my land & also to HALLIARD zoning thence No. to a white oak on the East side of a Branch on a hill side to three pines in another line of my Deed thence with sd line So, to a white oak another of my corners & Corner to JOHN BUTTON thence So. to the Begining containing 87 acres have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this 22d day of August 1776.

Know Ye that said Henry Otterback & Anne his Wife of Parish of St. Mark in County of Culpeper in the Northern Neck of Virginia for sum of Five shillings paid by my Son JOSEPH OTTERBACK but more especially for the love & Natural affection which we bear to my said Son have given unto my said Son Joseph Otterback his heirs forever 70 acres of land being part of a tract of my land in County afsd in the Little Fork of Rappahanock & is bounded Begining at three pines corner to his Brother HERMON runing with line of my Deed No, to two Chesnuts on a hill thence So. to a white oak Corner to his Brother Hermon Otterback thence with Hermons line No. E to the Begining In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & affixed our Seals this 22d day of Augt in 1776
