That Charles Vowles died after the war, intestate and unmarried, and before the death of Henry Vowles, which appears by the records of the Hustings court of Fredericksburg and the county court of Stafford county that Henry Vowles who was a Captain and Adjutant in the Rev. war, married Mary Frazier, and died about the year 1803 or 1804, intestate, his wife having died before him. That Maria Vowles (who married John M. Daniel), now deceased; Mary Vowles (who married David Briggs) now deceased; and Esther J. Vowles (who married John Moncure) are the children of Capt. Henry Vowles. That Maria Daniel died intestate, leaving two children: Thomas C. and John Henry Daniel. That Mary Briggs died testate, leaving her estate to her two daughters Virginia and Mildred Briggs. That Esther J.
