CHEILES, Henry, Spotsylvania Co., d. June 10, 1763, p. Aug 1, 1763. Wit. Milley Webb, Richard Crittenden Webb, Ann Webb, Thomas Wiatt. Ex. my wife and son Waltho Cheiles. Leg. sons John and Henry; son William, part of land I purchased of Mr. Baylor; son, James; son, Waltho; son, Thomas Carr Cheiles; son, Benjamin; my daughter, Susannah Harley and her two children; my daughters, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Ann Cheiles. (page 66)
[Editor’s note: I searched deeds to see if I could determine Henry’s wife and came up with two possibilities: Mercy (3 deeds in 1749) and Susannah (1 deed in 1756). My guess is Mercy but genealogists shouldn’t guess.]
