      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ROGER RICHARDSON of the County of Rappahanock for & in consideration of the sum of Three thousand pounds of Tobacco paid by THOMAS WRIGHT of the said County Carpenter the receitt whereof I do acknowledge do by these presents grant & confirm unto the said THOMAS WRIGHT his heirs & assignes two hundred acres of land (be it more or less) begining at a mkd white Oak standing by a PATH that leadeth (missing) SAMUELL NICHOLLS his house to PATOMACK RIVER & runneth for bredth from the said White Oak unto a red Oak standing upon the head of a branch that proceeds from Mr. WILLIAM SMARTs Creek & for length from the said white Oak along the upper side of the said PATH to a marked red Oak which standeth by a branch on the East side of the Land of the said ROGER RICHARDSON & for bredth from the last said red Oak along the said last branch to the uppermost line which said land is parcell of six hundred acres of land granted by Pattent unto RICHARD COLEMAN and afterwards assigned by the said COLEMAN unto one EDWARD OVERY & me the said ROGER RICHARDSON To have and to hold the said premises with the appurtenances unto THOMAS WRIGHT his heirs & assignes for ever in as ample manner as the said Land was granted to the said RICHARD COLEMAN & I the said ROGER RICHARDSON for me my heirs do agree with the said THOMAS WRIGHT his heirs & assignes that said THOMAS WRIGHT shall at all times hereafter quietly & peaceably enjoy the said premises without the deniall of me the said ROGER RICHARDSON my heirs or assignes or any other person whatsoever. In Witness hereof I have set my hand the first day of May in the year of our Lord 1660

      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ROGER RICHARDSON of County of Rappahannock do hereby acknowledge to have sold unto ROBERT CLERK of the same County all my right & title to the half part of a tract of land which I now live on for a considerable valluation & half the houseing which is already built upon the Land equally to be devided both the said land & houseing betwixt us the said Land is part of Six hundred acres which was granted by Pattent to one RICHARD COLEMAN & afterwards as assigned unto me EDWARD AVERY & me the said ROGER RICHARDSON the said land lying at the two miles end of SAMUELL NICHOLLS then being in (a devid)ent of Four hundred acres I the said ROGER RICHARDSON do by these presents warrant the said land unto said CLERK his heirs & assignes from me the said RICHARDSON my heirs & assignes To have and to hold without molestation of any person wtsoever claiming from by or under me As Witness my hand this first (missing) of our Lord 1660 presence of EDWARD ROUZEE, ROGER RICHARDSON
