CLARKE, Gent, of the County of Rappa: and Parrish of Farnham hath sold unto the sd ROBERT CLARK his heires forever one tract of land conteyning Four hundred and twenty six acres lying in the abovesd County of Rappa: on the North side of TOTASKEY CREEKE as by Pattent granted to JOHN SHURLOCK bearing date the 26th of September 1668 more at large may appeare with all the houses buildings gardens woods and appurtenances whatsoever to sd premisses appurtaining to him the said ROBT CLARK his heires for ever the sd CLARK paying the rents & services due to our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs And further I the sd RICHARD BROOKS do oblige myselfe that the sd ROBERT CLARK at all times forever to quietly and peaceably hold the premisses without the molestation of me the sd BROOKS my heirs or any other persons claiming under me and further I do together with my now Wife oblige ourselves to acknowledge our act and deed in the County Court of Rappa when thereunto required In Consideration thereof wee hereunto sett our hands & seals this 25th day of September 1684

CLARKE JUNR., thereunto moveing by these presents do absolutely give bargaine sell and confirme unto ROBERT CLARKE JUNR, his heires Two hundred acres of land scituate in County of Richmond and on the Branches of TOTOSKEY wch. parts the HICKORY NECK and the RICH NECK, and begining att the Road side by a Bridge neare the RICH NECK PLANTATION where old JAMES THOMAS did live and running by and along the Westward side of the said Road to the Land of JOHN HARTLEYs, thence Westwardly by and along the said HARTLEYs line so farr as may compleate the abovesd. Two hundred acres; thence to the aforesaid Branch, thence up the said Branch to the Bridge, the first station; wch: said Two hundred acres of land being part of a greater Devident wth: all other the rights members and appurtenances to the said Two hundred acres of land thereunto belonging; To have and to hold the said parcell of land containeing Two hundred acres and appurtenances whatsoever unto ROBT. Son to DR ROBERT CLARKE, of the Parish and County of Richmond, late deced, of one part and JOSEPH DEEKE of the Parish and County aforesaid, Gent. of other part; Wittnesseth that Whereas the said DR. ROBERT CLARKE deced before the date hereof joyntly & in copartnership together with JOSEPH DEEKE att theire equall costs & charges have paid all the composition and other fees dew and demanded have taken up a certaine parcell of land in Richmond County and on the Branches of TOTUSKEY. Now the said ROBERT CLARKE ,JUNR. for the consideration aforesd. by these presents doe bargaine sell and confirme unto JOSEPH DEEKE his heires Five hundred acres of land being part of the before mentioend parcell of land lying in the HICKORY NECK in the County aforesaid on the Branches of the MARSHY SWAMP that issueth out of TOTUSKEY; beginning att Capt. GEORGE ESCRIGE Line and running along the MARSHEY SWAMP to the line of WILLIAM MORGAN, thence along the said MORGANs line to a Hickery corner tree; thence along a line of marked trees 3: 73d. E. w WILLIAM LAMBETHs line, thence along LAMBETHs line to a branch that divides the HICKERY NECK and the RICH NECK, thence downe the said Swamp about half a mile, thence across the said Swamp Northwardly to include the said quantity of Five hundred acres of land, and all buildings on the said Five hundred acres of land with all other profitts and appurtenances to said premises belonging, To have and to hold the parcell of land with appurtenances unto JOSEPH DEEKE his heirs and ROBERT CLARKE JUNR, will warrant and for ever defend by these presents: And ROBERT CLARKE JUNR, will acknowledge these presents in due forme of Law before the Justices for Richmond County personally In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and affixed my seale the day &yeare first above written
