Found my Boone Co.,Ky. records in another notebook. I must have 100 notebooks. Been researching over 40 yrs. Anyway, in my notes I stated Alexander Marshall lived in Mason Co.,Ky. in 1800 and in 1810. Land deed book H page 279; 18 Oct 1830, between James G. Piner and John Reed of one part and James Marshall of the other part. $120 dollars for 24 acres on Gunpowder creek.
Beginning at a beech corner of Samuel Stephens thence North 120-3/4 poles to a stone in the line of Marshall and Reid, thence South 52-1/2 West Fifty Six poless to a stone on the South bank of a branch of the Gunpowder creek, thence South Easterly up the meanders of the aforesaid creek 53 poles to a corner in the creek with a white oak pointer on the North and a Black oak pointer on the South, Thence South 55 West 62 poles to three beech on or near the line of Daniel Banister thence South 8 poles to two small Beech and Dogwood thence East 62 poles to a large beech the beginning of said John Reid holding selling and conveying 14 & 4/5 acres of the within land and the said James G. Piner's holding selling and conveying 9 acres & 32 poles of the within land; and James G. Piner and John Reed for themselves and their heirs doth hereby warrant and defend this right and title to the land and said premises hereby conveyed to the said James Marshall his heirs and assigns against claims of all persons holding or through them

This Indenture made this 21st day of March 1827 between John Fowler of the County of Fayette and state of Kentucky of the one part and James Marshall of the County of Boone and state aforesaid of the other part. That the said John Fowler for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred and fifty dollars heretofore paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened conveyed and confirmed and by the presents doth grant bargain sell alien convey an confirm unto the said James Marshall his heirs and assigns One Hundred acres of land situated in the county of Boone on a fork of Gunpowder bounded as follows to wit: beginning at a beech and sugar tree the original corner of Alexander Parker's survey of 3500 acres thence with the original line of the same South One hundred and forty five poles to a beech corner, Alexander Marshall's land thence with his line West one hundred twenty and a half poles crossing the Northbend and Burlington Road (237) and said fork to a sugar tree white oak and ironwood, then North one hundred and forty five poles crossing said road and creek to a walnut and sugar tree in Parker's original line thence East 110-1/2 poles to the beginning. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the above described tract or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said James Marshall his heirs and assigns to and for their only proper use and lechoof forever and the said John Fowler for himself his heirs to the aforesaid described tract or parcel of land and premises with the appurtenance unto the said James Marshall his heirs and assigns shall will and doth by there presents warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said John Fowler by William Routt his attorney in fact hath hereunto set his hand and officia his seal the day and date above written.
