1642 Howell Jones by Capt. Samuel Mathews, Esq.
Andrew Jones and his wife Elizabeth Jones sold land to Sampson Waters of Boston, New England and Thomas Willin of Somerset County. Andrew Jones died in Somerset County in 1684. Thomas Brereton, who married his widow Elizabeth Winder, administered his estate. They also did not have any children.
Howell Jones, the brother of Andrew Jones, and their father, Thomas Jones, of County Monmouth, Wales gave Rev. John Huett and Stephen Luffe power of attorney to sell Andrew’s estate in Somerset County. James Jones was probably brother to Thomas Jones of County Monmouth, Wales.
deed filed in Lancaster County in 1656 conveys 300 acres from John Meredith to Mr. John Jones. The witnesses were Edmund Lun and Vincent Stanford. In March 1659 John Jones of Lancaster, planter, sold to Charles Hill of Lancaster, Cordwayner, 300 acres "plantation I now live on." The witnesses were Edwyn Connaway and Howell Powell.

KNOW ALL MEN by these psents that I THOMAS GOODRICH doe with consent of ANN my Wife for and in consideracon of Three Thousand five hundred pounds of Tobacco in Ceske by me received & also for other lands over and above the said Tobo: assigned over unto me by THOMAS GOULDMAN doe hereby give bargaine and sett from me and my heirs forever unto THOMAS GOULDMAN his heirs & assignes forever five hundred acres of land part of Pattent of Two thousand acres scituate lying and being on the South side of HOSKINGS CREEKE about a mile and a halfe from Majr. JOHN WEIREs Mill bounding as Followeth beginning at a corner tree of HOWELL JONES not far from his Spring thence Parrelle until you come to a line of marked trees being a line belonging to a hundred acres of land formerly called by PHILLIP lands thence to the back line of NICHOLAS PULTEY and along the said line as far as it run, downe to HOSKINS POQUOSON side and HOWEL JONES his line next adjoyning to the said Poquoson until' it amounts to five hundred acres to Have and to Hold the said Land together with all Rights in as large and ample manner as to all intents and purposes as is Expressed in the Pattent whereunto this path relation with a warranty from all clayme whatsoever to save and defend and I doe hereby oblige myself to acknowledge this as my act and deed together with the sd acknowledgemt. of ANN my Wife at any Court that it shall be holden for Rappa. County at the request of the said GOULDMAN and for confirmacon hereby & hereunto together with my wife set my hand and seale 10th day of December Anno 1671

KNOW ALL MEN that I Lieut. Coll. THOMAS GOODRICH of the County of Rappa. gent for the consideration of four thousand pounds of tobacco and cask paid me by HOWEL JONES of the County aforesaid doe for me my heirs and administrators grant unto HOWELL JONES aforesaid all my right and interest of one hundred acres of land lying in Rappa County nigh Major JOHN WEIRs MILL bounding as followeth beginning at a corner Oake by the MILL ROAD running thence by the line of THOMAS ROSOW to a marked Oak in the valley thence by the Valley of marked trees parralell to the land of JOHN EVANS to a Scruby white Oake thence parallel to the first Course to a Corner Ash in a branch and thence by the land of the aforesaid EVANS to the place it began To have and hold the aforesaid hundred acres of land to him the said HOWEL JONES with all profitts belonging with all woods seales and waters with all grounds fences and houses thereon contained in as large ample beneficial! and effectuall manner as it is granted to me the said GOODRICH by Pattent engageing myself my heirs that said HOWEL JONES his heirs and assignes shall peaceably hold every part and parcel! thereof without the disturbance of any person that shall lay any clayme thereunto and to acknowledge this my act and deed in Court being at any time thereunto required for Testimony of the same I have hereunto put my hand and seale the Seventh day of March 1671/2

County and the Southenside of MILL CREEK be it a hundred acres more or less bounded as followeth on one side the ROAD and HOWELL JONES line of marked trees extending toward RICHARD HALEs Plantation and on the other side bounded with a line of marked trees of THOMAS RANSONs [Rawson] that runeth into a Swamp hard by the PATH that leadeth to EDMUND PAGETTs and along the said Swamp to a marked Maple thence to a Poplar standing in the said Swamp thence paralell from the said Swamp to a red Oake standing in the NEW ROAD near HOWELL JONES line aforementioned To have and to hold the said land to him the said WILLIAM DYER his heirs and assignes forever with warranty from all persons whatsoever to save and defend and doe by these presents obleige myselfe to let the said DYER have what Timber he shall have occasion for for himself of the land adjoyning to his owne and for confirmation hereof we hereunto sett our hands and seals this 20th of October 1672
