      THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of October one thousand seven hundred and Fifteene and in the first year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George by the grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland, King, Defender of the faith &c,, Between JNO: WELLS of Sittingbourne Parish in County of Richmd:, Planter, of one part and WM. GRIFFIN of the Parish and County aforesd. Carpenter, of other part; Witnesseth that JOHN WELLS in consideration of Three thousand pounds of good tobb. in hand paid by WILLIAM GRIFFIN, by these presents doth bargain sell and confirm unto WM GRIFFIN and his heirs all that parcel of Land lying in the Parish & County aforesd: wch: sd: Land was formerly given by the Last Will & Testament of WILLIAM SERGEANT deced., unto REBECCA WELLS, Daughter of BARNABY WELLS, in fee, who dying in her minority & without issue the sd: Land with the appurtenances came and descended unto JNO: WELLS, being Brother in the whole blood to said REBECCA WELLS, as may appear by the Last Will and Testament of WM: SERGEANT duly proved and recorded whose date is the fifteenth day of February one thousand six hundred Eighty & two; and the Rents issues and profits thereof; To have and to hold the p.mises to sd.
