      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I RICHARD KING of the Parish of Farnham in the County of Rappa: do for a valuable consideration to me in hand paid by JOAB HAMMON have sold unto the aforesaid JOB: HAMMON his heires forever a parcell of land being in the Parish and County aforesaid and conteyning One hundred acers of land more or less that shall be found within these following bounds Beginning at a marked white Oake standing at the head of a branch commonly called the CATTAILE BRANCH which is the corner tree of a former divident granted by me to the sd HAMMON, thence by a line of marked trees E: and by S: to a red Oake standing the line of a divident belonging to Mr. ROBT: BAYLIS, thence along the sd line to a white Oake standing in the line of JOHN WILLIAMS, thence along the sd WILLIAMS line to a red Oake and from thence to the place where it first began To have and to hold the sd land with all rights and privilidges thereunto belonging in as large and ample manner as was granted to me by Deed of Sale the sd JOB HAMMON paying the rents and services due of right accustomed further I the sd RICHARD KING for me my heires do oblige that the sd JOB HAMMON will at all times occupie and enjoy the said land without the denyall of me the sd RICHARD KING or any other persons that may hereafter lawfully claime any part of the sd land In Witness whereof I have set my hand and seale this (blank) day of April 1687

      THIS DEED INDENTED made the Seventeenth day of Septembr: in the yeare of our Lord God 1687 Between JOHN PECK of the Parish of North Farnham in the County of Rappa:, Planter, of the one part and RICHD: KING of the said Parish and County, Plantr., of the other part Witnesseth that the sd JOHN PECK for the sum of Two thousand three hundred Ninety and six pounds of good sound well conditioned Tobb; and caske to him in hand paid hath granted unto the sd RICHARD KING all that his peice of land being in the Parish and County aforesd. adjoining the land of MILES HUGILL deced, N. E. and the land late of JOHN KENNEDY deced, S: E: containing by Estimation Fifty and Eight acers and the revercon thereof with all evidences and writing concerning the same To have and to hold the sd Fifty and Eight acers of land with all the appertinances to the same belonging unto the sd RICHARD KING (the fee due to the Cheife Lord or Lords of the Seniory excepted) to the only use of sd RICHARD KING his heires forever and the sd JOHN PECK for himselfe doth promise that upon the reasonable request at the proper cost and charges of the sd RICHARD KING made and do all such other acts and conveyances in the Law as shall be reasonably required and lastly the sd JOHN PECK doth grant the sd land against all persons claiming the same and will warrant and forever defend In Witness whereof the sd JOHN PECK to this present indented hath put his hand and seale the day & year above written

      TO ALL XPIAN PEOPLE to whom these presents shall come send Greeting that Whereas by the permission of God Almighty there is to be shortly solemnized Between Mr. RICHARD KING of North Farnham Parish in the County of Rappa:, Plantr., and SARAH CANNEDEY, the late Wife of JOHN CANNEDY deced, of the same County, Know yee therefore that SARAH CANDAY, Widdow, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which I bears unto my said Daughters (vizt) SARAH CANEDY, ALICIA CANEDY, JOHANNA MARY CANADY, ISABELLA CANEDY and for and towards their future maintenance and advancement have given unto the sd SARAH CANEDY, ALICIA CANEDY, MARY CANEDY and ISABELLA CANEDY my aforementioned Daughters Three heifers of the age of two years old with their female encrease and one mare which was their late Fathers deced, and her female en crease which sd Cattle and Mare with their en crease aforesd are to be equally devidod as they shall attaine and cam!, to their severall ages of Sixteen or the day of Marriage which shall first happen but in case either of the sd Daughters shall die before they attaine to the sd ages or day of Marriage that then her share to be devised between the survivers and I the abovesd RICHD: KING do by these presents oblige myselfe to give to SAMLL , the Son of JOHN CANEDY late deced, one Cow and a Gaffe and one Mare filly with their female encrease to him and his heires forever and wee the said RICHD. KING and SARAH CANEDY my intended Wife do hereby oblige ourselves to ratifie and confirm this act and deed in the County Court of Rappa: when required by either of them or their Guardians on the forfiture of Ten thousand pounds Tobb: and caske to be pd. by me RICHD. KING or heires to the use of the abovesd Children as Witness our hands and seales this 16th day of April 1687

      THIS INDENTURE made the 4th day of 8ber 1689 Between RICHARD KING of the Parish of Farnham and County of Rappa., Planter, of one part and EDWARD JONES of the Parish and County aforesd, also Planter, of the other part Witnesseth that RICHARD KING in consideration of Fifteen thousand and nine hundred pounds of good and merchantable Tobb: by sd EDWARD JONES paid unto RICHARD KING hath sold and confirmed unto EDWARD JONES his heirs Three hundred acres of land one part of which are the houses & Plantation of sd RICHARD KING and late in the occupacon or holding of Mr. JOHN BERTRAND being part of the land granted unto sd RICHARD KING being therein thus expressed (Vizt) Five hundred ninety and one acres of land scituate on the North side of Rappa River begining at a Branch or a marked red Oake the branch bearing East and runing thence South to a marked red Oake, thence E. to a red Oake at the head of a branch of FARNHAM CREEK, thence N. to the land of JOHN WILLIAMS to a marked white Oake, thence N. by the sd land of JOHN WILLIAMS to a marked white Oake thence N. by the sd land of JOHN WILLIAMS and lastly S. W. to the place whence it began and likewise all houses edifices and buildings upon the sd Three hundred acres of land hereby granted and also all other the hereditaments and right of sd RICHARD KING by virtue of the said Patent (Except and always reserved unto the sd RICHARD KING out of this present grant all the land with every of the appertenances hereto granted unto MARTIN HAMMON and JOB HAMMON and to either of them their heirs. To have and to hold the said Three hundred acres of land and all other premises hereby granted with every of their rights (except as excepted) unto sd EDWARD JONES his heirs subject to the quit rents due for the premises and the sd RICHARD KING his heirs will will warrent and defend against all persons clayming or pretending to claim the same forever by these presents and moreover it is agreed that all the land that shall be over and above the sd three hundred acres hereby granted is in this provisoe and further condicon that sd EDWARD JONES his heirs shall pay for every hundred acres of such land Three thousand pounds of good merchantable toba in cask and so after the same rate for a greater or lesser quantie that one hundred acres after the same shall be surveyed and ascertained which is to be had and don within one yeare after the date hereof otherwise the granted hereby of what land is above the three hundred acres to be void and of non-effect the sd RICHARD KING for himselfe his heirs doth promise with sd EDWARD JONES his heirs that sd EDWARD JONES his heirs shall have sd Three hundred acres of land with the houses and appertenances belonging and all other the lands and premises hereby granted (except as excepted) from the hindrance or interruption of him the sd RICHARD KING his heirs, And sd RICHARD KING doth further promise for himself and SARAH his Wife and her heirs he and she shall not only acknowledge these presents in form of Law but also he she and his heirs shall acknowledge all such further Deeds which shall be thought fitt by the sd EDWARD JONES his heirs or Councell Witness whereof the parties have sett their hands and seales

      THIS INDENTURE made this twenty fifth day of August Annoq: Domini 1704 by and betweene SAMUELL SAMFORD of the Parish of NORTH FARNHAM and County of Richmond of the one part and DANLL. McCARTY of the Parish of COPLEY and County of WESTMRLD. of the other part. Wittnesseth that the said SAMLL. SAMFORD for the summe of Five Shillings Sterl money to him in hand already paid thereunto especially moveing have granted unto the said DANLL McCARTY his heires and assignes forever all tht part or quantity of Land containeing one acre be the same more or less being part of that Land he the said SAMLL. bought of GEORGE BLUFORD and MARY his Wife, one of the Daughters of JOHN KENNEDY, late of the Parish of NORTH FARNHAM and County of Richmond deced, and coheires of the said JOHN being the reversion after ye death of sARAH the Widdow and relict of the said JOHN, & which said Land the said SAMLL. hath since bought of RICHARD KING who Marryed the aforesd. SARAH, the tenant for life of the aforesaid premisses by vertue of tho Last Will and Testament of JOHN KENNEDY deced, the aforesaid quantity of one acre of land being bounded as followeth (vizt.) being scituate in the Parish of NORTH FARNHAM and County of Richmond on a Swamp att the head of a Creek called RICHARDSONS CREEKE and beginning at a marked Chinkapin Bush standing on the North or Norwest side of the aforesd. Swamp and att the head of a Valley, running thence North East and by North up the Swamp to another marked Chinkapin Bush, thence East South East to the water courses of the Runn, thence down the water courses of the sair Runn untill a North Norwest course brings it to the first mentioned marked bush or uport a streight line up to the said Bush from the Runn, To have and to hold the aforesaid quantity of Land wth: all and singular the wayes water courses woods and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any ways appertaineing to the said DANIELL McCARTY his heires and assignes forever, And the aforesaid SAMLL. SAMFORD for himselfe his heires &c. the aforesaid quantity of one acre of Land will warrant and forever defend from the clayme of him the said SAMLL: his heirs &c., or from the claime of any other persons whatsoever clayming any right under the said SAMLL. SAMFORD his heires and he doth hereby agree that att any time when thereunto required by him ye said DANLL. McCARTY his heires &c. will since seale and as his act and deed deliver and the same in any Court of Record acknowledge to the intent the same may be Inrolled for the better and more sure passing and confirming the aforesaid acre of Land to the aforesaid DANLL. McCARTY as he or his councell leanred in the Law shall reasonably require so as the same obliges him the sd SAMLL. SAMFORD his heires &c. to no other warranty than what he or they might lawfully give, he the said SAMLL. his heires &c. being att all times willing and ready to confirme any title they now live or hereafter may have to the aforesaid Land.
