Francis and Elizabeth had two daughters and four sons:
ELIZABETH HUME who married John Almond of Spotsylvania County.
NANCY HUME who married Lewis Sharp of Culpeper.
JAMES HUME who married Catherine Barnes on October 2, 1797.
ARMISTEAD HUME who married Priscilla Colvin on December 25, 1798. He died in Culpeper County January 19, 1815. Priscilla then married the Reverend Abner Baughan on November 17, 1817.
CHARLES HUME who married Celia Shumate on June 1, 1803. He was in Fauquier County, Virginia when he served in the War of 1812, and was commissioned an officer.
He served with his cousin, Joseph Hume and was discharged at Fredericksburg on December 17, 1814. He moved to Madison County, Kentucky in 1818. The majority of the lands were in Madison County, but the house itself was in Garrard County. In the early 1820s they moved to Trimble County, Kentucky on the Ohio River. He lived there until his death in 1838 or 1839

This Indenture made 18th October 1769 between FRANCIS HUME together with ELIZABETH his Wife of County of Culpeper and GEORGE HUME of same .. in consideration of Twenty pounds current money of Virginia doth sell George Hume tract of land in County of Culpeper (being part of a tract formerly granted to GOODRICH LIGHTFOOT by Patent date 30th June 1726) containing 100 acres bounded beginning at a pine in a line of the aforesaid Patent .. to a gum in Stanton's line to beginning ..

THIS INDENTURE made the 8th of March 1777 Between BOWLS ARMISTED of County of Culpeper of one part and FRANCIS HUME of aforesaid County Witnesseth that for sum of Five hundred pounds of Lawful! Tobacco of this Colony said Bowls Armisted his heirs to be paid by said Francis Hume his heirs anully he the said Bowls Armisted hath rented & leased to said Francis Hume land in afd County & bounded Begining at one Beach in ELLEYs line thence with Elleys line W. to ye river Corner to three red oak saplins thence down ye several courses of said River to PARTLOWs Spring Branch to two Locust saplins thence N. to the Begining for and during the natural lifes of Francis Hume & ELIZABETH his Wife and his Son JAMES HUME & the longest liver of them paying five hundred pounds of Tobo said Francis doth oblige himself not to make any waste of Timber nor anyways hurt the land during the term aforesaid & further said Francis Hume his heirs to leave said Tract of land & premises in good repair at the end of the Term aforesaid .

Wt. to two box oaks Corner to Colo. WM. GREEN Decd. thence with his line So. to three white oaks Corner to said Green thence So. to a white oak near GRIGSBYs Fence thence So. to a pine cut down in sd Hume's Plantation to begining .
