At the request of John Ashman, the following bond was recorded this Jun 9, 1726.
I, Richard Anchoram of CC, planter, bind myself to John Ashman of CC, planter, in the penal sum of 10,000 lbs of tobacco in cask, this Feb 22, 1723. The condition of the above obligation is such that if sd Richd Anchoram shall abide by a division that Robert Hanson, CC Surveyor, made, at the instances of sd Richard Anchoram & Mary, his wife, sd John Ashman, on Feb 13, 1717, of a parcel of land, part of a tract called St Edmonds, lying in CC, and devised to sd Jno Ashman and Mary, the wife of Richard Anchoram afd, by the will of their mother, Anne Foister, decd, and shall :be content with the northernmost moiety thereof, so as not to trouble or molest sd John Ashman from enjoying the southernmost moiety, then this obligation to be void.
