Son Robert Angel-plantation whereon I live.
My negroes Letty, Phebe, Hannah, Solomon, and George, and Joshuah, should be equally divided among my wife and her five children, viz:-Nancy, Robert, Billy, Amos, and Charles Angel.
The remaining part of my moveable estate, excepting what is mentioned in my sheriffs book for this present year, to be equally divided among my wife and her children.
I desire that Onisepheries Harvey one of my executors, with the consent of Mr. Joseph McAdam and the Court of this County, complete the remaining part of my engagement as Sub Sheriff. Profits from collection of tobacco for the present, year may be applied to the use of my estate.
Profits arising from Sheriffs service may fall to Onisepheries Harvey, he paying part to the High Sheriff, Joseph McAdams. Thomas Yearby and Onisepheries Harvey, executors.
As son Robert Angel gets my land, it is only just that he only get the negro Joshuah.

CODICIL: The goods to be sold of my estate to discharge my debts to be payable 1st day of July 1771, as none of my debts are due by extravagance or gaming, but from pure human desire for the good of poor families that fell into my hands in the course of my practice as Sheriff in Wicco. Parish.
One silver watch, one negro man Daniel, two large Walnut tables at Martin Shearman's, which I paid him for as his account will show, also fourteen Walnut and Leather chairs unless he will keep them and repay me 4£and 15 S. paid him in 1769, and carried to this present year, acct. in full. Also my desk and furniture and its brass furniture and locks, one young sorrell maire and yoke of oxen, one London fiddle, and one negro girl Hannah, which I bought from Rawleigh Robuck, and by the same Bill of Sale which I had formerly from him, or at my executors discretion, three cows without calves or yearlings. Also one case of bottles and any thing else that my poor little family can spare best, the Spectators, and Johnson and. Bailey Dictionary, two good feather beds and furniture, and one old bed.

Mayes, John

Sister Mary Ann Mayes-my house that William Angell now lives in, and the ground there included, with liberty of dry wood and timber to keep her fence in repair, as long as she lives in it herself, but no liberty to dispose of it.
My executors-to pay a school master for schooling my sister Mary Ann Mayes' two children one year each, and William Angells' son John, one year, at the expence of my estate.
My executors-to maintain Suky Williams, a child sworn to me by Katty Williams, 'till she arrives to the age of fifteen, and give her proper schooling at the expense of my estate.
Son John Mayes-my whole estate real and personal not already given to him, and the heirs of his body, and in case of no heirs to:-
Sister Mary Ann Mayes-fifty pounds specie.
Friend Onesiphorus Harvey-fifty pounds specie.
The residue of my estate to Suky Williams, to her and the heirs of her body, and if none to be equally divided between my sister Mary Ann Mayes two children, Sally Short and Judith Mayes.
Friends Onesiphorus Harvey, Richard Hudnall, and Hopkins Harding, executors, and guardians to my son till he arrives to the age of twenty one years.
