      Son George Ball-all my land in the forrest where I formerly lived, and the grist mill.
      Son Joseph Ball-all the land whereon I now live. If he should die before marriage, or has no child or children, I give the land to my son John Ball.
      Son David Ball-one best bed and furniture, one grate glass and table that is at my brother David Balls, and all the money that is due from my brother David Ball.
      Son John Ball-all my land on the east side of Huges River, which I purchased of William Brown in Culpeper County, and all the land that I am to have of John Edwards joining the said land,and one hundred acres in Spotsylvania County. If Joseph Ball's land falls to him, then the said lands to fall to his brother William Ball.
      Son William-all the land on the western side of Huges River, which I purchased of William Brown in Culpeper County. If either should die without child, then the survivor should have his brothers land.
      Son Jesse Ball-four hundred acres of land in Amelia County which I purchased of John Ellis,Sr., and on which Thomas Ball has a lease. If he should die without a child, the land to go to my son David Ball.
      Son Samuel Ball-four hundred acres of land in Amelia County which I purchased of John Ellis,Jr., adjoining the land I gave my son Jesse Ball. If he should die before having a child,the land to go to his brother Jesse Ball.
      Daughter Nelms-negro boy Spencer, in case Mr. Nelms will pay the fifty odd pounds I paid for the land I bought for him, and now am owing the money for it. If he will not pay, the negro Spencer to be sold to pay for it.
      Wife Hannah Ball-my chair and harness, and the black horse, to her and her heirs.
      Rest of my estate to be equally divided between my wife Hannah Ball, and my children Joseph Ball, Jane Ball, Hannah Ball, John Ball, William Ball, Jesse Ball, and Samuel Ball, and at my wifes death, her part to be equally divided between the last mentioned children.
      Son Joseph Ball-to pay to my last mentioned children twelve pounds cash if he takes the two looking glasses in the Hall, the two cherry tables, and cherry chairs with six leather bottoms at Hunts.
      Sons George Ball, Joseph Ball, and David Ball, executors.
      Witness: Samuel Lucas, Richard Maurroson, Samuel Haynie, William Downing, and John Cottrell.
      CODICIL: My son George, by agreement to have Robin instead of the mill this ensuing year.
      At Christmas, I give up the third part of the schooner to my son David Ball.
      Witness: John Cottrell and Richard Ball.
