      Unto my friend John Lowen ten shillings current money.
      To my well beloved wife Rachel Bramham all the remainder of my estate during her natural life or widowhood and then all unto my youngest sons Daniel Bramham, Richard Bramham, Gaydon Bramham, Taverner Bramham and James Webb Bramham to be equally divided.
      Hy said well beloved wife Rachel Bramham and my sons Daniel and Gaydon Bramham executrix and executors.

      To all to whom .. Whereas ANN WHITE, Widow and JOSEPH SPENCER, an infant by Elizabeth Spencer, his Mother and next friend, Plts., brought a suit in General Court .. as heirs of SAMUEL RUST, deceased, against RACHEL BRAMHAM, DANIEL BRAMHAM, and GAYDONE BRANHAM, Executors of JOHN BRAMHAM, deceased, James Cunningham, Wm. Lewis and other defendants, for certain Negroes (listed) and whereas the above contending parties having agreed to compound and put up the suit in the following terms: that is to say .. the above said Rachel Bramham, now Sisson, Daniel Bramham and Gaydone Bramham, Deft. for Ann White and Joseph Spencer .. giving up rights to the Negroes and Estate .. they claim or pretend to claim .. makeover
      and quit our claim to five of the above Negroes .. 23rd March 1767 .

      Claims of McCall, Smellie & Company and Geo: McCall & Company [Page 19):
      Gaydon Branham, Spotsylvania. £5.17.7 and £13.18.9 3/4. He removed from that county during the
      war (after 1777) and settled in one of the western counties in this state for a few years. From there he
      went to Fayette Co., Ky. James Lewis, Esq. , of Spotsylvania never believed he was entitled to credit for
      the amount of these claims. He was an indolent and very poor man possessing only a little personal property such as cattle, etc . , but neither land or slaves.
