      IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I JOHN MARTIN of the Parish of St. Ann in the County of Essex being weak but in perfect sence and memory praised be to God for it do make this my last Will and Testament revoaking and disallowing of all Wills or Testaments heartofore by me made and this and no other to be taken for my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Vizt.
      ITEM I give and bequeath unto my Wife MARY the third part of the land during her natural life and after her diseas I give and bequeath unto my Son JAMES all the Land.
      ITEM I give and bequeth unto my Son WILLIAM fifteen shillings currant money.
      ITEM I give and bequeth unto my Son JOHN fifteen shillings current money.
      ITEM I give and bequeth unto the four Children SARAH, JAMES, MARY and GEORGE four dishes.
      ITEM if my Son JAMES should dye without heir my Son GEORGE shall have the land
      ITEM I give and bequeth unto my Wife MARY the third part of all the rest of my Estate and the remainder to be equally devided between the four Children that I has by my Wife MARY and if my Wife is with child that Child shall have my wifes part at her disceas.
      ITEM I lave my Wife MARY and her Father and ANTHONY SAMUEL JUNOR Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hearunto set my hand this Nineteenth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and forty

      Testament in the presence of us ANTHONY SAMUELL,
      WILLIAM DOBSON, CASANDREN DOBSON
      At a Court held for Essex County at Tappa. on the 16th day of June 1741
      This last will and Testament of JOHN MARTIN deced was presented in Court by MARY MARTIN Executrix and JAMES SAMUEL one of the Executors therein named who made oath thereto and being further proved by the oath of two of the Witnesses thereto was ordered to be recorded
