      JOSHUA KING & MARTHA, his Wife, Plts. agt. WILLIAM GRANT, Deft.
      In Trespass, Assault & Battery. This day came the parties by their Attorneys and thereupon came also a Jury, to wit, HUGH SNELLING, JAMES GARNER, DAVID WELCH, STEPHEN MORRIS, JOHN ROBINSON, JAMES OLDHAM, RICE DUNCAN, JOHN JAMES, THOMAS GLASCOCK, JOHN COURTNEY, GEORGE HEAD and MOSES JOHNSON, who being elected tried and sworn the truth to speak upon the issue joined, upon their Oaths do say that Deft, is guilty in manner and form as Plts. against him have declared and they do assess Plts. damages by occasion thereof to twenty shillings. Therefore it is considered by the Court that Plts recover against Deft. the said damages aforesaid in form aforesaid assessed and Deft. in mercy &c.

      - JOSHUA KING and MARTHA his Wife, ROBERT KING and JOHN BLACKWELL came into Court and acknowledged themselve severally indebted to our Sovereign Lord the King in the sums following, that is to say, JOSHUA, MARTHA and ROBERT in the sum of Forty pounds and the said JOHN in the sum of twenty pounds to be levied of their goods and chattels lands and tenements to the use of our Sovereign Lord the King his heirs and successors, to be void on condition that the said JOSHUA, MARTHA and ROBERT be of good behaviour towards all his Majesty's liege people for twelve months & a day and especailly towards JOHN SHUMATE, JUNR.
