      Campbell to Lewis Lease and Release
      This indenture made the 20/21 day of September 1769 between Alexander Campbell and Daniel Campbell, merchants in Glasgow North Britain of the one part and Henry Lewis of the County of Culpeper in County of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that Alexander Campbell and Daniel Campbell in consideration of 200 pounds current money of Virginia in hand have sold unto Henry Lewis, in his actual possession, a tract of land containing 411 acres situate in Culpeper County which was granted to the said Alexander Campbell and Daniel Campbell by patent from the proprietors office dated the 17th day of June 1748. In witness whereof the said Alexander Campbell and Daniel Campbell by William Carr of Dumfries in Prince William County, Virginia, merchant, their attorney in fact, duly and lawfully authorized and assigned have hereunto set their hands and seals the day month and year first above written.
