      In the Name of God Amen the twenty sixth day of September in the year of our Lord God 1760
      I JOHN SERTIN of Parrish of Saints Marks in County of Culpeper being of perfect mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament that is to say Principally andfirst of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God who gave it and as for my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried and as touching such worldly estate .. It is my will and desire that my well beloved Son JOEL SERTIN shall have three negroes named Doll, Lucy and Peter further it is my desire that my well beloved Son JOB SERTIN to have three negroes named Nan and Sarah and Davy Further it is my will and desire that if any one of theese two should dye or both to their heirs. Further it is my will and desire that all my household goods and stock after my debts is paid be equally divided to my two sons Joel and Job Sertin. Further it is my will and desire that my son JOSIAH SERTIN shall have twenty shillings. Further it is my will and desire that my son JACOB SERTIN shall have twenty shillings. Further it is my will and desire that my son ISAAC SERTIN shall have twenty shillings. I do hereby appoint my well beloved Sons Joel and Job Sertin Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have sett my hand end seal the day and year above written

      At Court held for County of Culpeper on Thursday the 20th day of November 1760
      This last Will & Testament of John Sertin was exhibited to the Court by Joel and Job Sertin the Executors therein named & was proved by the oaths of William Underwood and Daniel Brown witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and on the motion of the said Executors Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probat thereof who having sworn to the same and entered into Bond with security as the Law directs.
