I REUBEN LONG of County of Culpeper do hereby make it known to all whom it may concern that I this day lend unto my Daughter, NELLY THREKELD, and her Husband, THOMAS THREKELD, during their natural lives two Negroes, one negro by the name of Surey. the other a girl numed Abagail, It is by these presents memt and intended and so let it be understood that mid THOMAS TTHREKELD shall not have it in his power to dispose of said Negroes by any manner of means so as to deprive my said Daughter, NELLY, of the use and benifit of the same, And I do also now declare that at the death of my Daughter, NELLY, and THOMAS THREKELD, her Husband, I give forever unto ARMISTEAD LONG, Son of my Daughter, NELLY, the above mentioned slaves Surey & Abagail, with all the Incream that may arise from the girl Abagait; In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 19th day of January 1789 REUBEN his mark LONG

THIS INDENTURE made this 15th day of August One thousand seven hundred and eighty two Between THOMAS THRELKELD and ELEANOR his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and DAVID JAMESON of said County of other part Witnesseth that THOMAS THRELKELD and ELEANOR his Wife for and in consideration of the sum of Forty Shillings current money to them in hand paid by these presents do bargain and sell unto DAVID JAMESON one half acre Lot of land in TOWN of FAIRFAX in the said County called and known in the plan of the said TOWN by the number Twenty which said half acre Lot was purchased by THOMAS THRELKELD of NATHANIEL PENDLETON Gent. and conveyed by a Deed of Bargain and Sale from NATHANIEL PENDLETON and BETTY his Wife bearing date the 15th day of June 1778 and recorded in County Court of Culpeper Referrence being had thereto will more fully appear, To have and to hold the said Lot of land and all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to DAVID JAMESON In Witness whereof the said THRELKELD and Wife have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and month above written

THIS INDENTURE made this 20th day of February one thousand seven hundred and ninety two Between FRANCIS GRAY and NELLY his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and ARMISTEAD LONG of the same County of the other part; Witnesseth that FRANCIS GRAY and NELLY his Wife in consideration of the full and just sum of Four hundred pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid by said ARMISTEAD LONG, by these presents doth bargain and sell unto ARMISTEAD LONG his heirs one certain parcel of land whereon said GRAY now lives which was conveyed to him by DAVID HENING and MARY his Wife as will appear by the Records of the County Court of Culpeper containing by estimation Two hundred and eighty six acres more or less and is bounded; Beginning at a red Oak in the West side of a Glade, thence South twenty eight degrees East one hundred and thirty four poles to a post Oak in WHITEs line, thence West two hundred and forty seven poles to a corner in SLAUGHTERs Old Field, thence. North two degrees East two hundred and sixty two poles to three white Oaks, thence South sixty eight degrees East one hundred and forty two poles to a corner in ROBERT KEYs line, thence North fifty seven degrees East fifty eight poles to two Hickory saplins and a red Oak saplin, thence South three degrees East one hundred and thirty poles to the beginning, Together with all houses orchards and appurtenances thereto belonging; To have and to hold the tract of land with all appurtenances unto ARMISTEAD LONG his heirs and FRANCIS GRAY and NELLY his Wife shall warrant and forever defend the tract of land and all appurtenances to ARMISTEAD LONG his heirs to be free from the claim of any person; In Witness whereof the said FRANCIS GRAY and NELLY his Wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day month and year above written
