KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that we GRACE BRYAN, FfRA. TALIAFERRO, JNO: TALIAFERRO of the County of Essex are held and firmly bound unto his Maties. Justices of the Peace for ye sd. County of Essex in ye sum of Twenty thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobacco & caske to the which payment we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these presents, Witness our hands and seales ye 11th day of July 1698
The Condition of the above obligacon is such that if the above bound GRACE BRYAN, Admrx. of SILENT BRYANT deced, do make a perfect Inventory of all the goods chattels rights & credits of ye sd. deced. and the same so made do exhibit to ye next Court held for the said County of Essex & make oath thereto and truely administer on ye sd Estate according to Law and give a true accot when required and pay unto such persons as the Court shall appoint, then the above obligacon to be void, otherwise to remain in full force

Essex County Court 11th of July 1698
- Order for admcon. is granted to GRACE BRYANT, on ye Estate of her deced Husband, SILENT BRYANT deced, giveing security according to Law
- Its ordered that Mr. JAMES HARRISON, Mr. SAML. LATTIS, Mr. CHAS. TALIAFERRO & ROBT. THOMAS, or any three of them some time between this & ye next Court (being first sworne before ye next Justice of ye Peace for this County) meet at ye House of SILENT BRYANT deced and Inventory & appraise ye sd deced Estate and that GRACE BRYANT, Admx. of ye sd deced Estate present ye same to ye next Court upon Oath
