      Novembr: ye 5th: 1698. In Obedience to an Order of Essex Court dated ye 23d. of September 1698, we ye Subscribers have Inventoried & appraised ye Estate of JOSEPH CLARKE deceast as it was delivered to our Sight by JOS: REEVES as followeth.
      To 3 cowes wth : their calves, one two year old Bull & one two year old Heifer, six head of young poor hoggs, 1 crakt, iron pott; two old piggins, 1 old flock bolster; 8 quart bottles, 8 pounds of woollen yarn in ye greece; 1 woollen wheele, 1 pound drest flax, 1 pound & a 1/2 dirty wool!, 1 rimlett, 1 old looking glass, 1 small earthen candlestick, a parcell of old iron, a parcell of earthen ware; 1 old rugg, 1 old flock pillow, 3 old barrells, 1 small bread tray; tobacco in ye hands of JOSEPH REEVES Summ is 3318 Sworne before me ye day & year above written

      NOW ALL MEN by these presents that we JOS: REEVES &ROBT. COLEMAN of ye County of Essex are held and firmly bound unto his Maties. Justices of ye peace for ye sd. County in ye just sum of Seven thousand pounds of tobacco & cske, to the which payment we bind ourselves our heirs firmly by these presents; Witness our hands & scales this 11th day of Janry: 1698
      The Condicon of this obligacon is such that if JOSEPH REEVES, Admr. of JOS: CLARKE deced, do make a true & perfect inventory of all ye goods chattles rights & credits of ye sd, deced. & ye same so made do exhibit to ye next Court to be held for ye sd. County of Essex & make oath thereto, & truely admr. on ye sd. Estate according to Law & give a true accot. of his admcon. & pay unto such persons as the Court shall appoint, then this obligacon to be void, otherwise to remain in power
