      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I ROBT. MOSS of ye County of Essex together with MARY my Wife do for ye valuable consideracon of five hundred pounds of lawfull tobacco sell unto WM. JONES of ye sd. County a certaine parcell of Land containing fifty acres & nineteen perches of Land & begineth at a marked Spanish Oake on Branch of CHEESTIXENT which falls into ye Southern Division OCCUPACEE CREEK in ye Parish of SITTING BURN & County of Essex & runeth thence South West along a line of a parcell of land I ye sd. MOSS sold to ye sd. JONES to ye Swamp that parteth RICHD. STOKES &ye sd. MOSS & thence down ye sd. Swamp North East to ye Run & thence North West to a Swamp & thence North West to ye mouth of a Branch called the CHESNUTT BRANCH, & up ye sd CHESNUTT BRANCH its several! courses to a marked red Oake standing by ye sd. CHESNUTT BRANCH & is ye corner tree of ye sd. Land I ye sd. MOSS sold formerly to one sd. JONES by a conveyance bearing date ye first day of April 1692, & finally along ye sd land East to ye first menconed station, ye sd. land so by me sold being part of a greater devident left to me by my Honoured Father. ROBERT MOSS, in his last Will & Testamt., as by the said Will on Record will appeare; To have & to hold and enjoy from me ye sd. MOSS & MARY my Wife from our heirs to him ye sd. WM. JONES his heirs forever; To hold & enjoy without incumbrance of all persons whatsoever that may make any just claime thereunto. In Testimony that this writeing is our Lawful & well advised act & deed and that we are well satisfied for ye sd Land, we ye abovesd. ROBT. MOSS & MARY MOSS in behalfe of ourselves & heirs have hereunto set our hands & seales this 25th day of April 1699

      Deed. 9 June 1704. Robt Moss and Mary his wife of Sittenbourne parish sell Thos Farmer of Essex, for 2000 lb tobo, 50 acres on Occupation Creek in Sittenbourne par. Adjoins a corner of Nicho Willard and Robt Moss, down the main swamp to the land of Wm. Jones, to a branch called Jones Spring branch, thence to a branch that comes out of Chestnut branch, etc.

      Deed, 11 Oct 1704. Robert Moss of Essex Co, planter, and Mary his wife, sell Francis Gouldman, Gent, for 6000 1b tobo, 140 acres on S side Rappa, Adjoins a creek formerly called Tignors Creek, the land given to James Mills decd, the land of Richard Nightingall, the land of Robt Mills. This 140 acres being part of 562 acres patented by John Mills the Elder, father to the aforesaid Mills, and by the sd John Mills given in his will to his son John. Mills, and by him ( John. Mills the son ) sold to Tho New decd dated in 1687 (?), and by the will of the sd Thomas New dated 16 Sept 1689 given to Frances New wife to sd Thos New, At a Court for Essex 10 Aug last past, recovered by Course of Law by the said Robert Moss "the first Cosen and heire apparent to the sd Frances".
