      3 Jan. 1707 [1708]. John Burge of the Parish of Chewton Mendipp in the County of Somersett, yeoman, great uncle and heir to Samuel Burge, deceased, who dyed a minor but was in his lifetime the only surviving sone and heire of George Burge the younger also deceased, who was whilst he lived son and heire of George Burge the Elder, formerly of Kingston Parish, Gloucester County, deceased, who was the elder brother of me John Burge:
      Whereas John Burge by indentures 1-2 January sold unto Anthony Gregory of Glouster County, Gent., two tracts, one of which is in Kingston Parish at the head of the North River and the other in Kingston Parish on Queen's Creeke that issueth out of Peanketank river,
      John Burge do make my friends Major Peter Beverley, Capt. Mordecai Cooke and Mr. John Buckner of Gloucester County my attorneys to enter upon lands and deliver same to Anthony Gregory.

      6 April 1708. William Whitehead, Esqr., now mayor of the City of Bristol, certifies Francis Greene of said city, roap-maker, and John Greene of Bussleton alias Brisslington in the County of Somersett, roapmaker, made oath John Burge of the Parish of Chewton Mendipp in Somersett, yeoman, was great uncle and heire to Samuel Burge.
