THIS INDENTURE made the Eighteen day of June in the year of our Lord Christ Anno one thousand seven hundred and forty five Between WILLIAM BASKETT of the County of CAROLINE of one part and AUGUSTINE OWEN of the County of MIDDLESIX of the other part; Witnesseth that the said WM. BASKETT in consideration of Five Shillings Sterling hath sold and to farm lett a parcel! of Land on the South side of Rappa. River containing Two hundred acres together with all houseing meadows waters and advantages to the said land belonging; To have and to hold the term of one year to the intent that the sd. AUGUSTINE OWEN may be in the actuall possession and that by virtue of the sd Lease and this present Indenture as also the Statute for transferring uses into possession the said AUGUSTINE OWEN may be enabled to take a grant and release of the sd. Land from him the sd. WILLM. BASKETT and ELIZABETH his Wife.
Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said WILLIAM BASKET for the just sum of Fifty pounds current money of Virginia doth hereby clearly acquit the said AUGUSTINE OWEN and doth transfer the above recited Land from claim of him the said WILLM. BASKETT his heirs, Furthermore and foreprizing that one moyetye or half part of the aforesd Two hundred acres of Land and premisses being given by the Last Will and Testament in writing by the abovesaid ROGER PRICHARD to his Daughter, ELIZABETH, wife of THOMAS FEILD to her and her heirs forever, which is admitted to Record May 16. day 1721, that said part moyetye of Land containg One hundred acres by estimation he the said WM. BASKETT doth absolutely warrant from the claim at all times from him the sd. WM. BASKETT his heirs and assigns, and every other persons forever; To have and to hold without eviction of or any other incumbrance of him the sd WILLIAM BASKETT his heirs or any other persons and doth further grant that he the sd. WILLM. BASKETT will at any time hereafter dureing the space of seven years next insueing upon request and cost and charges in the Law of him the sd. AUGUSTINE OWEN, make and execute such further things in the Law for the better conveying of the land paying unto our Sovereign Lord the King his hiers the Quit Rents that shall become due for the said Land. KETT set his hand and fixt my seal

WILLIAM BASKETT acknowledged this his Release Indented with the Receipt endorsed to AUGUSTINE OWEN to be his act and deed which on the motion of the said AUGUSTINE
OWEN was admitted to Record and is truely recorded
