      IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN. I MARY PERRY of Essex County being sick and but of sound & perfect mind & memory praise be therefore given unto almighty God do make and ordain this my present last will and Testament in manner & form following (that is to say) first and principally I recommend my Soul into ye hands of almighty God and my body I commit to ye Earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried at the discretion of my exer. hereafter named and as touching the disposition of all such temporal Estate as it hath pleased almighty God to bestow upon me I give & dispose as followeth first I will that my debts and funeral charges shall be paid & discharged.
      2ndly I give unto my Daughter MARY GRESHAM all my waring close Vizt) to be put aside for her.
      3ly I give unto my Son WILLIAM ARVIN one feather bed & furniture, Vizt.) to be put aside for him.
      41y I give and bequeath all the rest of my goods and chattels to be Equally divided between my sd Son & Daughter but only a set of curtains wch I desire my son Wm, may have only making satisfaction unto my daughter for her part thereof.
      5ly I give unto my son Wm Arven whom I make sole Exer, of this my last will & Testament all my land and plantation to him and his heirs for ever. IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of April 1726

      At a Court held for Essex County at Tappa, on the xxth day of January MDCCXXXV
      This last will and Testament of Mary Perry decd was presented in Court by William Arvin the Exer. therein named who made oath thereto and being also proved by the oath of William Rennolds one of the witnesses thereto who likewise made oath that he did see Hannah Boan the other witness (who is now dead) subscribe the same as a witness thereto at ye time he did which is admitted to record.

      IN OBEDIENCE to an Ordr. of Court this xxth day of' January Anno Domini MDCCXXXV we the Subscribers being appointed praisers of the Estate of MARY PERY deceased and having first sworn before Capt. THOS. JONES did proceed as followeth . items listed and valued but not totalled .. some items in inventory are 80 pounds of pott iron, 10 1/2 lbs of Brass; 36 1/2 pounds of pewter, one old brass skillet, hogs and cows, 1 side sadle, a feather bed and furniture, a Malata boy named Robin, a negro boy named Jack, a parcel of old lumber, 6 old flag chears; 2 yds Dowlis; ell of Ozenburg; 6 yds of Virginia cloath; 4 1/2 lbs spun cotton; 4 lbs unspun Virga. Cotten; 1 lb of old feathers; 11 gease; 3 lb of woolen yarn; 5 barrels of Indian Corn; Mrs. PERISS waring cloths . . .
