      THIS INDENTURE made the fifteenth day of September one thousand seven hundyed and forty Between JOHN DAVIS HALL and ELIZABETH his Wife of the County of Essex of one part and JAMES WEBB of the same County of other part Witnesseth that for the sum of one pounds Ten shillings current money unto the said JOHN DAVIS HALL and ELIZABETH his Wife well and truly paid by the said JAMES WEBB they the said JOHN DAVIS HALL & ELIZABETH his Wife do hereby sell the said JAMES WEBB and to his heires and assignes forever one acre of land being in the County of Essex aforesaid on the East side of PISCATAWAY CREEK and on the South side of a small Creek known by the name of COVINGTONS MILL CREEK Begining on the said MILL CREEK just below an old MILL DAM formerly known by the name of COVINGTONS MILL at a Stak and runing from thence up the hill to a small Hickory and from thence to a Warnutt and from thence to a small black Oake by the ROADSIDE from thence to a Wilier by the Marshs side from thence to a Branch that runs between the sd HALL & ROBT. LEVERITT & then down the sd Branch to the Beginning place. In Witness whereof the said JOHN DAVIS HALL and ELIZABETH his Wife have set their hands and seals

      Be it remembered that on the 16th day of December 1740 That JOHN DAVIS HALL and ELIZABETH his Wife came into Essex County Court (and the said ELIZABETH being first privately Examined by FRANCIS SMITH Gent) acknowledged their deed of feofment with the Livery of Seisin & the receipt therein endorsed to JAMES WEBB to be their act & deed which on his motion is recorded

      THIS INDENTURE made this Fourteenth day of December in ye Fifteenth year of ye Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE ye Second & Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and forty one Between JOHN DAVIS HALL & ELIZABETH his Wife of the Parish of Southfarnham in County of Essex of one part & JAMES BYROM of ye Parish of St. Stephens in KING and QUEEN COUNTY of other part Witnesseth that the said JOHN DAVIS HALL & ELIZABETH his Wife for sum of Sixteen Hundred and ninety six pounds of Tobacco & Ten Shillings Current money of Virginia hath sold unto the said JAMES BYROM his heirs & assigns forever one certain parcel of land containing fifty seven acres excepting ye BURYING PLACE in Southfarnham Parish in Essex Countey & binding on the Lands formerly JOSEPH SMITHs & MARY CLARK To Have and To Hold the sd Tract of land unto JAMES BYROM his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof ye said parties have set their hands and Seals
