      THIS INDENTURE made this tenth day of April 1779 Betwen JOSEPH EDDENS of the Parish of St, Thomas and the County of ORANGE of one part and JOSEPH EDDENS JUR. of County of Culpeper Witnesseth that the said Joseph Eddens for love he beareth the said Joseph Eddens junr. as a Nephew hath granted unto said Joseph Edens junr. his heirs land in the County of Culpeper &Parish of Bromfield containing Two hundred and seventy acres the apple Orchard excepted during my life &bounded (to wit) by HENRY SHORTERs line one side and CAPT. ROBERTS line on the other side To

      THIS INDENTURE made this fourteenth day of August in year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Between WILLIAM SIMS JUNR, and NANCY SIMS of County of Culpeper and Colony of Virginia of one part and ROBERT WOREN of County aforesaid of other part Witnewth that WILLIAM SIMS and NANCY SIMS in consideration of Thirty five pounds current money to them in hand paid by these presents do bargain and sell unto RORERT WOREN his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of land containing One hundred and fifty six acres lying in County and Colony aforesaid and is bounded Beginning at two Spanish Oalrs in REUBIN CLARh's line running thence to a Hickory a Chesnut and a red Oak on top of the MOUNTAIN thence North to two chesnut Oaks on the MOUNTAIN thence North seventy nine poles to two red Oaks and Hickory on the MOUNTAIN thence North eighty five degrees West One hundred and seventy poles to two red Oaks and Chesnut thence South fifteen degrees West forty four poles to two Chesnuts thence South six degrees West eighty six poles to two white Oaks and a Dogwood, Corners to said CLARKs line thence with said CLARKs line to the first mentd. beginning together with all the profits commodities and appurtenances to the said premises belonging To have and to hold aforesaid Tract of land with all its appurtenances unto ROBERT WOREN his heirs and assigns forever In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands and Seals the day and date above written

      THIS INDENTURE made this fifth day of August One thousand seven hundred and Eighty four Between WILLIAM SIMS of County of ROCKINGHAM in State of Virginia of one part and THOMAS GRAVES of County of Culpeper of other part Witnesseth that WILLIAM SIMS, MARY TERRILL, SARAH SIMS, AMEY SIMS & JAMES SIMS, Orphans of WILLIAM SIMS deceased, in consideration of Sixty one pounds Curt. money of Virginia in hand paid doth bargain and sell unto THOMAS GRAVES his heirs all that tract of land lying on CROOKED RUN formerly belong to WILLIAM SIMS deced, lying in said County and binding Begining at two white Oaks one Pine on North side of CROOKED RUN at the Mouth of a Branch and runing thence North twenty degrees East One hundred and seventy two poles to two Pines, thence North eighty three degrees West One hundred & twenty two pole to two Pines and white Oak in CAPT. FIELDs line, thence North forty degrees West seventy two pole with FIELDs Line to a white Oak and Poplar in Fork of a Branch corner to said FIELDs, thence down said branch to CROOKED RUN & down the RUN to the begining, it being part of a tract of land purchased of said FIELDs & HUMEs by the said WILLIAM SIMS and by the Exrs, of WILLIAM SIMS deceased was sold at Public Vendue to make most convenient to divide between the Orphans of said SIMS, the land containing by Estimation One hundred and ninety seven acres being more or less, To have and to hold the tract of land Together with the right privi-ledges and appurtenances thereunto appurtaining In Witness hereunto we have set our hands & Seals the day and date above mentioned

      THIS INDENTURE made this 5th day of November in year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred & Seventy one Between NATHAN UNDERWOOD & ELIZABETH his Wife of County of Culpeper of one part and WILLIAM SIMS of County aforesaid of other part; Witnesseth that NATHAN UNDERWOOD & ELIZABETH his Wife in consideration of the sum of Sixty pounds current money of Virginia to them in hand paid; by these presents do bargin sell and confirm unto WILLIAM SIMS his heirs one certain tract of land containing One hundred & ten acres lying on the CONWAY RIVER in County aforesaid and is bounded, Begining at a Chesnut Oak, corner to HUGH ROBERTS on side of BUSHES BLUF, thence with the old line made for JOHN NOEL to two Chesnut Oaks, a Gum & Locust corner to JOHN POWELL on side of BUSHES BLUFF, thence with the said POWELLs line West two hundred poles to three Hickories, corner to the said POWELL on North side of CONWAY RIVER, thence down said several course of said River to a Chesnut Oak & Poplar corner to HUGH ROBERTS on North side of River; thence by a line of marked trees to the begining; Together with the profits commodites & appurtenances to the said land & premises belonging; To have & to hold the tract of land unto WILLIAM SIMS his heirs, And NATHAN UNDERWOOD &ELIZABETH his Wife doth covenant that the same is freely & clearly discharged from all manner of Incumbrances, the Quitrents and Taxes hereafter to become due only excepted; In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands & seals the day & date above written Signd. This said Indenture was fully proved by the Oath of ELIJAH KIRTLEY another witness thereto & ordered to be recorded
