Here is an online link at the SC STATE ARCHIVES to the "typescript" will of Peter Banner.
I sent for an actual copy of the written will and over the daughter Lydia's name is the name "Mary". (at least it looks like Mary.) So I am not sure if Lydia was deceased and he was referring to the wife "Mary" or if Lydia's name was actually Mary Lydia.
Peter Banner had the following known children: son Benjamin Banner (lived next to Benjamin Suite in SMC in the 1800 federal census), daughter Anna Banner "Shute" (*I believe was wife of James Suite who d. 1813 SMC), Elizabeth Banner (wife of James Coleman of Craven Co SC), Lydia Banner (married to Broadey or Broadway and I believe was the mother of "cousin" Elkanah B. Broadey in the 1826 will of Wm. B. Suite, s/o James Suite.) He may have had other children as a man named Banner V. Woolmour was in a land deal with him in SC and he was in land deals with men whose surname was Thomas so it may suggest he was father of Sarah Banner who married James Thomas of MD, but this is not proven. There are men with the Thomas surname in the estate of Mr. Banner, but not listed as any relation.
