      THIS INDENTURE made the 26 April 1776 Between ZEPHANIAH NOOE of County of Culpeper and MARY his Wife of one part and JOHN STRODE of County of King George Witnesseth that said Zephaniah Nooe and Mary his Wife in consideration of the Rent and Covenant hereafter Reservd. have granted to farm letten unto said John Strode the following tract of land in County of Culpeper being part of a Tract of 446 acres which said Nooe rented of said Strode by Deeds of Lease date the Sixth day of February 177(blank) and is bounded Begining at a large white oak by the southwest side of the Run of the Branch Corner to a pattent granted to HARRY BEVERLEY thence North to an Elm on the East side of said Branch thence Northeast to a hikory by the Southeast side of a branch in the line of a Patent Formerly granted to Harry Beverley aforesaid thence with said line to place of Begining, for which tract said John Strode his heirs are to pay to the said Nooe his heirs at the rate of Six pounds Virginia Currency & p Hundred acres To Hold all the premises unto him the said John Strode during the full term of ninety eight years next Ensueing to be compleated yielding and paying yearly the Rent above reservd. & mentioned unto said Zephiniah Nooe his heirs on the Feast of Christmas without any deduction for Quitrents . , . .
