THIS INDENTURE made the 26th day of August one thousand seven hundred & ninety one Between WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR. of County of Culpeper of one part and WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR. of County of ORANGE of other part; Witnesseth that WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR. in consideration of the uses and trust hereafter mentioned and for the consideration of Five shillings to him in hand paid, by these presents Both bargain & sell unto WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR., his heirs, In Trust, for the uses here after mentioned, two Negroes, one male & the other female, a boy by the name of Frank, about thirteen years old and a girl by the name of Sillar about six years old, also ten Sheep marked with a crop and hole in the left & over keel & nick in the right ear. twelve head of hogs marked with a crop & hole & underkeel in the right ear and a crop & slit in the left ear; two Cows, one Heifer & Bull yearling, marked with a crop hole & under keel in the right & crop and slit in the left ear. and a pied Calf unmarked; five Feather beds and furniture, one old Desk, two old Tables, four Chairs, one & one half dozen pewter Plates, two Dishes, two dozen earthen Plates and four Dishes and small Cart; To have and to hold the aforesaid goods and chattels unto WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR. his heirs on the following terms and conditions; that is to say, that whereas the said WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR. is justly indebted to WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR. the full and just sum of One hundred & Eleven pounds, two shillings & ten pence of the present current money of Virginia per account and in case said WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR. shall well and truly pay WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR. the aforesaid sum with legal Interest thereon from this date on or before the first day of January next ensuing that in that case the right and title of the aforesaid goods & chattels shall again be vested in WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR., who hereby obliges himself and his heirs to warrant and defend the right and title of the aforesaid goods & chattels to any purchaser under the said WILLIAM BUCKNER JUNR. In Witness whereof the said WILLIAM BUCKNER SENR. hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal the day & year first above written
