      KNOW ALL MEN by these presents that I WILLIAM GREEN of Culpeper County are held & firmly bound unto HENRY GRIGSBY in the just sum of Five hundred pounds current money of Virginia to which payment I bind myself my heirs firmly by these presents Sealed with my Seal and dated the Eighth day of September 1784 The Condition of this Obligation is such that Whereas WILLIAM GREEN has sold HENRY GRIGSBY Two hundred acres of land the said GREEN now lives on lying on the Little Fork of BATTLE RUN and it seems or it is doubted that ELIZABETH GREEN, Mother of the above bound WILLIAM GREEN, may have her right of the third of said Land, Now if WILLIAM GREEN shall so provide that ELIZABETH GREEN, his Mother, shall not cause such third part of said Land nor no ways trouble the said GRIGSBY or any other person on account of her thirds then the above Obligation to be Void and Null else to remain in full power & virtue
