      To the Worshipful the Judges of the Orphans Court
      Gendemen: I had the misfortune to Cross my husband Mr. Henry Boteler late of the county aforesaid in the Month of January and am apprehensive that there are many claims against the Estate he left and think it Will be troublesome and inconvenient to me to take out Letters of administration in the Estate and do Relinquish my right thereof It is may wish that letters be granted to Thomas Contee, who was security of the late Mr. Boteler in a Judgement that was obtained against him ... by a certain Samuel Bird. the sooner it is done the better as the property is wasting and apprehend some illegal steps have or may be taken to the injury of the property
