      THIS INDENTURE made the fifth day of August in the yeare of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and 6 Betweene SAMLL. CHURCHHILL of the County of Richmond of one part and JOSEPH CHURCHILL of the County of NORTHUMBERLAND of the other part; Wittnesseth that SAMLL. CHURCHHILL and ANNE his Wife for the sume of One thousand pounds of good sound tobbacco to him well and truely paid by JOSEPH CHURCHILL by these presents do bargaine sell and confirme unto JOSEPH CHURCHHILL and his heires a certaine tract of land lying in County of Richmond containeing by estimation One hundred acres be the same more or less butting and binding Beginning att a small Spanish Oake standing by a Road that leads to TOTASKEY FERRY being corner tree to TEALIF ALLDERSON JUNR., from thence along the lieng of THO. FRESHWATER to a small marked Hickory sapling, from thence along anothcr Ling of marked trees to a. Branch of the DRINKING SWAMP, thenceup ye said Branch to another red Oake neare the head of the Branch, thence crossing the said Branch along another lien of marked trees to a marked Chesnutt in the lying of HENRY CORBIN Esqr., from thence along the said lying to a marked Hickory standing by the aforesd. Road that leads to TOTASKEY FERRY, then up the said Road to the first beginning tree, together with all profitts & appurtenances whatsoever belonging; To have and to hold the said tract of land with the appurtenances unto JOSEPH CHURCHILL his heires In Wittness whereof the said partyes have hereunto sett theire hands & seales the day and yeare first above written

      THIS INDENTURE made the 27th day of Janr. in fifth yeare of the Reigne of our Sovereigne Lady Anne by the grace of God of England Scottland France and Ireland, Queene defender of the faith &c. Annoq. Dom: 1707/6 Betweene SAMLL CHURCHWELL of Parish of FARNUM in County of Virginia, Planter, and ANNE his Wife of one party and ROBERT HARRISON of Parish of ST. STEPHENS in NORTHUMBERLAND County. Planter, of the other; Wittnesseth that SAMUELL CHURCHWELL and ANNE his Wife for the sume of Ten thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobbacco with caske to them in hand paid by ROBERT HARRISON by these presents do bargain and sell unto ROBERT HARRISON his heires all tht tract of land containeing by estimation 207 acres which I said SAMLL. CHURCHWELL & ANNE my Wife lately by a Deed from under our hand and seale made over & acknowledged in the County Court of NORTHUMBERLAND and Richmond unto said ROBERT HARRISON, And Whereas a Survey of 207 acres hath beene made since the acknowledgment of said Deed unto ROBERT HARRISON and bounds and courses therein expressed not compleating the full number of 207 acres of land according to agreement, we said SAMUELL CHURCHWELL and ANNE my Wife do hereby acknowledge this the onely true Deed of Sale for the 207 acres of land by us made over unto ROBERT HARRISON according to the express bounds hereafter mentioned, scituate in Richmond County & upon or among the branches of the MARSHY SWAMP being part of a Pattent granted to said SAMLL. CHURCHWELL for 344 acres begining for the said 207 acres att a corner white Oake standing upon a Branch of the MARSHY SWAMP, being the corner and begining tree of the abovesd. 344 acres, and stretching from thence along the line dividing this from the land formerly EDWARD & THO. LEWIS. betweene the No and West points, 210 poles to a corner Hickory tree dividing from the abovesd, LEWISes att the head of a branch near a Pond of water, from thence crossing the Pond and stretching along a line of trees betweene So: and West points dividing line from TELIFF ALDERSON at 101 poles to a Corner Hickory tree by or neare TOTUSKEY ROAD, from thence along a line of trees near the said Road betweene the So: & East points 104 poles to another corner Hickory tree in Esqr. CORBINs line; along Esqr. CORBINs line 100 1/2 poles to a corner Chesnutt tree dividing from JOHN BLACKMANs att or near the head of a branch of the MARSHY SWAMP, from thence dowse the said branch to the mouth thereof and crossing over the Maine Branch opposite to the uppermost or more Soly. point of the said small branch, then up the water course of the said Maine Branch So. 28d. East 23 poles to three inward trees, a Spanish Oke, a white Gum and a Maple tree in and by said branch; from thence along a line of trees betweene 50 and 60d. East to the beginning white Oake by the branch near SAMLL CHURCHWELLs Dwelling House, To have & to hold the tract of land hereby sold with all cleare grounds profitts and appurtenances belonging unto ROBERT HARRISON his heires to he holden to the Cheife Lord of the Fee of the premises to the Rents and Services for the same due and of right accustomed free and discharged from all manner of incumbrances: In Wittness whereof the parties first above named have hereunto sett theire hands and seales the day and yeare first above written

Attorney to acknowledge all my right title and demand of a parcell of land wch: my Husband, SAMUELL CHURCHILL. conveyed to ROBERT HARRISON of the County of NORTHUMBERLAND it being 207 acres of land as by the Deed of Sale may appeare as wittness my hand this 27th Janry: & Seale 1706/7
