Ignatious Maddox's Final Account. Feb 27, 1779. The account of Thomas Macatee and Sarah, his wife, acting executrix of Ignatious Maddox, late of CC, deceased, viz - Debts include: the inventory of the deceased's estate, exhibited into Orphan Court on Nov 11, 1777, amounting to 738 £5 shillings 7.75 pence; a crop of tobacco left by the deceased. The whole amount: 797 £4 shillings 1.75 pence.
Disbursements went to: Samuel Lucket; Craik and Jenifer; Clement Keneday for rent; Humphrey Posey; Benjamin Posey; William Hall; John Packer; Barns and Ridgate per bond dated Oct 18, 1773; Ignatius Lucket; Sarah Smith; eph'a Franklin; Joseph Harrison; Clement Kenaday; Warren Dent; William Hanson, Sheriff, for levies; Doctor Gustavus Brown; Benjamin Cawood, Collector of the public assessment; Walter Hanson, Register, for letters and for recording inventory and for stating, passing, and recording this account. Balance to be disposed of: 399 £9 shillings 10-1/4 pence.
Final Account: 797 £4 shillings 1.75 pence. Securities: Joseph Semmes & Butler Ashford of CC.
N.B. Chandler Maddox, a son of the deceased, was born after his death, and is since dead.

Edmund McAtee's Will
I, Edmund Maccattee of CC, planter, am sick but of perfect mind.
To my son John Maccattee all my goods & chattels. If John
dies underage, then to be divided between my 2 sisters,
Elizabeth Berry and Sarah Macattee & Thoms Macattee.
Executor: my father, John Maccattee Sr. If my father dies
before, my son John reaches age 21, then I appoint my
brother, George Maccatee, as my executor and guardian to my
son John.
