Dement alias Diamond of Charles Co., planter. Meredith
alleges that on Mar. 6, 1731/2 John Dement was indebted to
him in the sum of 599 lbs. of tobacco. Meredith produces
in Court Dement's account with him, in the name "John Dement
alias Diamond," which account shows his purchases of various
items (mostly yards of fabric, but also a saddle) from
Meredith. The purchases were for 4/19/11, which was the
equivalent of 599 lbs. of tobacco.
