      Charles County Maryland Will Book B-1, 1782-1785; Page 144. Thomas Reed Cooksey Will,
      I, Thomas Reed Cooksey of CC, planter, am of sound and memory, but weak of body.
      To my sons Henry Cooksey & James Cooksey - all the land I am now possessed of (except 50 acres lately purchased of Mary Hudson), to be equally divided between them, so each may have an equal part, both of the high and low lands.
      To my daughters Victory Cooksey, Sarah Cooksey, and Jane Cooksey - the liberty of my dwellings and lands as they may want, during their single lives.
      The above excepted 50 acres is to be sold to the best advantage, and also a horse, Ariel, and the money arising from such sale to be applied to the paying of my just debts. To my wife - one third of my estate, both real and personal,
      during her natural life, and also a black mare called
      Nell.
      To my daughter Victory Cooksey - a Negro girl called Henry and 1 colt.
      To my daughter Sarah Cooksey - a Negro girl called Charity and 1 colt.
      To my daughter Jane Cooksey - a Negro girl called Mary and a colt.
      To my son James Cooksey - a young horse called Othalo. To my 5 children, Henry, James, Victory, Sarah, and Jane Cooksey - the rest of my estate, to be equally divided
      between them.
