      son Benjamin Posey, daughter Elizabeth Posey, son Been Posey,
      daughter Easter Posey, daughter Sarah Posey, daughter Ann
      Posey, and son Roger Posey. All the rest of my estate to my
      wife Mary Posey and at her death to my son Wheeler Posey.
      Should my son Wheeler die without issue, it is to go to my son
      Roger Posey. My friend Benj. Maddox executor. (Ed. Note. Been

      I, Cornelius Maddox of CC being of sound and disposing mind and judgment
      To Jean Maddox widow of my brother Leonard, and her children, Francis, Gilbard {Gilbert}, Elizabeth, Lydia, Locretter {Lecretia} the following; a horse known by the name of Presto and the present years hire of the said horse which will be due of William Posey, it being three barrels of sound Indian corn, my feather bed together with all the furniture, also hogshead tools consisting of one jointure, one crow, one pair iron compasses, one trowel, two augers, and one gouge, also one iron pestle, one hilling hoe one weeding hoe, also my present year's crop which is now standing on the earth of every kind which I make to help and support to my friend Jean Maddox and her children.
