I, John Forbes of {the town} Benedict of CC, being sick of body, but of sound and perfect memory and understanding;
To wife Elizabeth Forbes, all my estate real, personal and mixed, all debts due and owing to me whether on open account or in bonds, notes mortages, leases or any other lawful obligatory writing.
To son John Forbes, my broach and sleeve buttons.
To son George Forbes, my gold watch.
As my worldly transactions are both intricate and numerous, I recommend that my son John Forbes be employed to aid and assist in the settlement of my affairs

To Margaret Vymier - 100 £in gold or silver, in consideration of her faithful services, and I recommend to my afd son to keep Margaret employed in the family as long as she may incline so to act.
To my afd son John Forbes - the rest of my estate, both real and personal.

Indenture made January 27, 1802; Rebecca Laveille, Charles Clagett Dawkins and Alexander Dawkins all of Calvert County, Maryland in consideration of 37 pounds 10 shillings current money paid by John Forbes has sold 1/3 undivided third part of a house and lot in Benedict Town on Patuxent River the same being the right and estate of the aforesaid Rebecca Laveille, Charles Clagett Dawkins and Alexander Dawkins jointly vested in them in fee by descent from William Pitney who died Intestate in 1799.
