      To wife Mary, dwelling plantation with tracts belonging thereto, viz..- "Neighbourhood," "Gleaning," "Gleaning's Addition.." during life; at her decease to son Nathaniel and hrs.
      To son Edward and hrs., "The Outlett," on Piney Branch., sd. branch falling into Potomack agt., an island formerly laid out for Walter Evans, cont. 600 A.; and personalty.
      Testator states that having provided for sons William and James and for daus. Sarah wife of Thomas Harris, and Mary wife of John Bowie, Jr.,, leaves in remembrance to sd. sons £5 each and to sd. daus. a gold ring each.

      Apr 15, 1743 from John Offutt of PG, Gent, to James Drain of PG, planter, for 37 £2 shillings & 6 pence sterling, part of a tract of land called Brock Hall, lying in PG, and bounded by a line of James Offutt's part of sd tract of land, the SE comer of Bealls Hunting Quarter, Back Branch, containing about 491/2 acres. Signed - Jno Offutt. Wit - Richard Keene*, Jo: Belt Jr*. This deed was acknowledged by John Offutt and Esther, his wife. Recorded Apr 27, 1743.

      May 2, 1743 from John Offutt @ of PG, planter, to John Bowie Jr of PG, planter, for 49 £10 shillings sterling, part of a tract of land called Brock Hall, lying in PG, and bounded by a parcel of land laid out for William Offutt being part of sd tract, then to the Back Branch, containing about 49-1/2 acres. Royal mines are excepted. Signed - James Offutt. Wit - Richard Keene*, Jno Hawkins Jr*. Sarah Offutt, wife of the afd James, relinquished her right of dower to the lands within mentioned. Recorded May 2, 1743.
      @ The grantor is referred to throughout as James Offutt, execpt for the opening sentence, where he is referred to as John Offutt.

      1763-1767 Prince George's County, Maryland Land Records Liber TT [Abstract by Mike Marshall]; Page 211. At the request of James Magruder, Jr. the following Deed was recorded April 17, 1764
      Indenture made April 12, 1764; between Ephraim Andrews of Baltimore County, Maryland, physician and Esther Andrews his wife of one part and James Magruder, Jr. of PGCo, planter of the other part. Whereas William Offutt did by his last will and testament give unto his son John Offutt 500 acres of land to begin at the beginning tree of a tract called "Calverton Edge" and to run the 1st course with a breath of another other tract called "The Addition" and whereas John Offutt did by his last will and testament give and bequeath unto his loving wife Esther Offut his dwelling plantation and land adjoining thereto. Now this indenture witness that the said act for Ephraim Andrews and Esther Andrews his wife formally the wife of John Offett in consideration of 140 pounds sterling money of Great Britain paid by James Magruder, Jr. has sold the aforesaid 500 acres of land devised by the William Offutt to his son John Offutt which land was also devised by the said John Offutt to Esther Offutt. Signed Ephraim Andrews, Esther Andrews in the presence of John Lee Webster, Robert Kay and acknowledged before John Hall and at the same time Esther Andrews wife of Ephraim Andrews relinquished her right of dower.
