      - Whereas it doth appeare unto the Court that Majr: JOHN BILLINGSLY, Executor of the Last Will and Testamt. of Mr. ROBERT ATKINSON, deceased, doth owe unto CORBET PEDLE five thousand pounds of tobco: and caske for his care and meanes administered unto the saide deceased in the times of his siknes: the Court doth therefore ordr: that the saide Mair: BILLINGSLY shall forthwith make paymt. of the saide Debt unto the saide PEDLE out of the saide deceased Estate als execucon; alkwayes provided that what goods or bedding the said PEDLE hath in his possession of the saide deceased shall be delivered into the hands and possession of the said Mair: BILLINGSLY or his assigner

      Know all men by these presents that I John Billingsly of Nansamund County do constitute and ordain my friend Richard Gible my lawfull attorney and in my name and to my use to recover and receive of John Ward now living at Yeocomoco and Henry Hayler Smyth all such tobacco as is due to me by bills as may be made appear by the vertue of admition of Mr. Loe and by letter of attorney from Mr.Cornix and upon the denial of any of the said debts to su e implead imprison him or them, or anything as my attorney may think good or best tor to recover the same debts as witness my hand the 28th January 1657.

      Leaves his Virginia estate to Thomas Jordan, husband of his sister Elizabeth; wills his 300 acres of land in Calvert County, Maryland to his sister Mourning; wills his 500 acres out of a patent of 700 acres on the Patuxent River called Billingsly's Point to his sister Margaret; to his loving friend Barnaby Hearne 200 acres of Billingsly's Point on the Patuxent; from the money left to him by his grandmother, Mrs. Agatha Billingsly, held by Mr. John Griffeth, draper, in Rotterdam of 5,721 guilders (570f) plus interest, to Barnaby Hearne 50f, to Patrick Cowen 25£, to Sarah Benbridge 25£, John Brown and Thomas Sans, merchants in London, to be paid for their trouble in securing the money; the remainder to Thomas Jordan, Mourning and Margaret; a cow & heifer to Sarah Benbridge; 2 oxen to Thomas Jordan; cattle to be divided between Jordan and sister Margaret; to sister Margaret a Negro woman called Hannah when Margaret is of the age of 18; to Thomas Benbridge a Negro man called Mingo provided he pay Jordan 5,000 of good tobacco leaf and cask; to Margaret red rugs, blankets, and furniture; to Jordan all other household goods to pay debts here and in Virginia; to Capt. John Cobeath of Maryland, to collect all debts due Billingsly and to "stand a friend" to the sisters
