1776 - Jonathan Burch, Jr., is in the 1776 Census of St. John's and Prince George's Parishes, Prince George' Co., Md., as follows:
      --Jonathan Burch, Jr., age 36
--Anna/Mina (hard to read) Burch, age 42
      --male, age 9
      --female, age 12
      --4 males slaves (ages 22, 15, 13, 3)
      --6 female slaves (ages 30, 21, 18, 8, 6, 1)

Nov. 1798 - Ann Newton Burch appears to be deceased by Nov. 1798 when her sister Rachel Newton Wheeler made her will in Fairfax Co., Va., probated Apr. 1803 in Prince George's Co., Md. The will names brother Nathaniel Newton and sisters Mary, Rebecca and Susanna, but not Ann.

Feb. 28, 1809 - On Feb. 28, 1809, 3 undated, unsigned and unwitnessed wills of Nathaniel Newton that had been found in Nathaniel's desk were submitted to the the Prince George's Co., Md. Probate Court. It is obvious from Nathaniel's wills that his sister Ann Newton Burch is deceased. The wills mention Ann's husband Jonathan Burch [Jr.] in ways that are ambiguous as to whether he was still living. It does seem, however, that Jonathan was deceased by Feb. 1809 when the wills were presented to the Probate Court. The wills mention nephew Joseph Newton Burch but not his sister Mary Burch from which it appears that Mary may be deceased.
