To son John Thomas, son Samuel Thomas,. tract called "Thomas" Discovery." lying on Senacar Creek, containing 164 A.; 400 A. to be divided bet. them and me, It known to all persons I have sold 1000 A. of the afsd. land called "Thomas Discovery" to James Harrison for 180 pounds sterl. if the sd. James Harrison complies with his bargain, then my will is that the above sums of 180 pounds sterl, may be laid out to purchase land In another place for son John Thomas and hrs., and the remaining_pt, of "Thomas Discovery being 480 A. of land, to son Samuel Thomas.
To dau, Elizabeth Thomas, 1 slave and furniture.
My pt. of the water mill, built by my bro.-In-law James Brook, and myself, In partnership, on Hawlings River., and my right to 100 A. of land called "The Fork," and likewise my right to 2 A. of a tract of land called "Brothers Content, may be disposed off and the money be given to my dau. To wife Meriam for life: negroes Arthur, Jack, Isaac, Jean and her six children, and at her decease, she shall give them to my brothers and sisters or their children. Also the rest of my estate forever to Meriam, she and Richard Thomas exec. /s/ Samuel Richardson.

On 29 Feb. 1764, Richard Thomas refused to serve as executor (test. Joseph Richdson). Will proved 29 March 1764 by wit. (pp 208-9)

I Samuel Waters, planter in consideration of the love good will and affection which I have and bear towards my beloved mother Jane Waters do give during her natural life 1/3rd part of a tract called "Cherry Walk" which I formerly conveyed to my father containing 185 acres. In witness I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this April 2, 1757, Samuel Waters, in the presence of John Hepburn, Richard Thomas and acknowledged before John Hepburn
