      This Indenture made the Ninth Day of March in the Year of our Lord One
      Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between John Mitchell of Prince Georges County
      Planter and Elizabeth his Wife of the one part and Lewis Duvall of Prince Georges
      County Planter of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Mitchell and Elizabeth
      his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling to them in hand
      paid by the said Lewis Duvall before the Ensealing and delivery of these Presents the
      Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have Bargained and Sold and by these Presents
      do Bargain and Sell unto the said Lewis Duvall One hundred Acres of Land lying in
      Frederick County on the West side of Rock Creek being part of a Tract of Land called
      Dan Beginning for the said One hundred Acres at a Bounded red Oak and running
      thence North by West One hundred and twenty Perches then North eighty six Degrees
      Westerly One hundred and twenty ^three^ Perches then South thirteen Degrees East One hundred and

      This Indenture Tripartite made the Tenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One
      Thousand Seven hundred and fifty two Between John Mitchell of Prince Georges County Planter and
      Elizabeth his Wife of the first part and Lewis Duvall of Prince Georges County Planter of the second
      part and Edward Dorsey of Ann.ll County Gentl of the third part Witnesseth that the said John Mitchell
      and Elizabeth his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings of Lawfull Money of England to
      them in hand paid by the said Lewis Duvall at or before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the
      receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have Given Granted Released and Confirmed and by these Presents
      do Give Grant Release and Confirm unto the said Lewis Duvall One hundred Acres of Land lying in
      Frederick County on the West side of Rock Creek being part of a Tract of Land called Dan beginning at

      made bearing date the day before the date of these Presents and of the Statute for Transferring of Uses
      into Possession being) To have and to hold all and singular the said One hundred Acres of Land and
      all and every the Premisses with the Appurtenances hereby Given Granted Released and Confirmed or mentioned
      or intended to be hereby Given Granted Released and Confirmed unto the said Lewis Duvall and his
      Heirs for Ever to the Intent and Purpose that the said Lewis Duvall shall and may be perfect Tenant of
      the said One hundred Acres of Land and Premisses untill One or more good and perfect Recovery or Recoveries
      may be had against him the said Lewis Duvall of the same Land and Premisses and it is Covenanted
      Granted Concluded and Agreed by and between all the said Parties to these Presents that it shall and may be
      Lawfull to and for the said Edward Dorsey before the last day of next Provincial Court to Prosecute out of the
      high Court of Chancery one or more Writ or Writs of Entry sur Disseisin in the Post against the said Lewis
      Duvall returnable to the next Provincial Court whereby the said Edward Dorsey shall and may respectively
      Demand against the said Lewis Duvall the said One hundred Acres of Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances
      by such Name or Names Quantity or Quantitys Quality and Qualitys Number^s^ or Content of Acres as
      shall be thought fit and requisite unto which said Writ or Writs the said Lewis Duvall shall appear
      in Proper Person and shall Vouch to Warranty the said John Mitchell and Elizabeth his Wife who shall
      appear Gratis upon the Voucher and shall enter into Warranty and shall Vouch over to Warranty the
      Common Vouchee and the Common Vouchee shall appear and Imparle and afterwards make default
      whereby one or more Judgment or Jdugments may be had and given for the said Edward Dorsey for
      Recovery of the said One hundred Acres of Land and Premisses against the said Lewis Duvall and for the
      said Lewis Duvall and for the said Lewis Duvall to recover over in Value against the said John Mitchell
      and Elizabeth his Wife and for the said John Mitchel and Elizabeth his Wife to recover over in Value
      against the Common Vouchee according to the manner and form of Common Recoverys in such
      Cases Used, And it is further Covenanted Granted Concluded Agreed and Declared by and
      between all and every the said Parties to these Presents and the true Intent and meaning of
      the Parties to these Presents is that from and immediately after the said Common Recovery or
      Recoverys shall be had Prosecuted and suffered as aforesaid of the said Premisses the said
      Recovery or Recoverys shall be and enure and shall be Construed esteemed Adjudged and taken
      to be and enure that the said Edward Dorsey and all and every other Person and Persons which
      shall be Seized of the Premisses or any part thereof by force and Virtue of the said Common
      Recovery or Recoverys shall stand and be Seized thereof with their and every of their Appurtenances
      to the only proper Use and Behoof of the said John Mitchell and Elizabeth his Wife their Heirs &
      Assigns for ever and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Partys
      to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and

      Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within
      mentioned John Mitchel and Elizabeth his Wife and Acknowledged the within mentioned Deed
      as their Act and Deed according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided And the
      said Elizabeth being Examined by me Privately and out of the hearing of her said Husband
      declared she became a Party to the said Deed and made here Acknowledgement of the same
      willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or Threats or Ill Usage of her
      said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Acknowledged before me this 10.th Day of March

      seven hundred and fifty five Between Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson
      of London Merchants surviving Assignees of John Philpot and John Hutchinson
      late of London Merchants Bankrupts of the one part and Lewis Duval of Prince
      Georges County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the Other Part Witnesseth
      that the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for and in Consideration of the
      Sum of Forty Pounds Sterling to them in hand paid by the said Lewis Duvall the
      Receipt whereof the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson doth hereby
      acknowledge and themselves therewith to be fully satisfyed Contented and Paid and thereof
      and therefrom Doth acquit and discharge the said Lewis Duvall his heirs & assigns
      forever Hath Given Granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents doth Give Grant
      Bargain and sell unto the said Lewis Duvall his heirs and Assigns forever a Certain
      Tract or Parcell of Land called Tylers Rainge lying in Prince Georges County in
      the Province of Maryland Beginning at two bounded white oaks standing in a
      fork of the North West branch of the North east branch of Potomack River that
      Runs by M.r Thomas Spriggs Quarter Running thence North West up the Branch Two
      hundred and Twenty Perches to a bound white Oak standing on the East side of the
      same Branch then North Twenty Degrees Easterly Two hundred Perches to a bound
      Red Oak then south one hundred and twenty Perches to a bound white oak thence with
      a Streight line to the first Tree Containing Two hundred Acres of Land more or Less
      together with all woods and Underwoods Timber and Timber Trees Houses Orchards
      Gardens Fences and Appurtenances whatsoever To have and to hold the
      said Two Hundred Acres of Land called Tylers Rainge as aforesaid with all and
      Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining
      unto him the said Lewis Duvall his heirs and Assigns and to the only use and
      behoof of him the said Lewis Duvall his heirs and Assigns forever And the
      said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for themselves their Heirs
      Executors and Administrators do Covenant and Agree to and with the said Lewis
      Duvall his heirs and Assigns that they the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and
      Joseph Janson their Heirs Executors or Administrators shall and will from
      time to time and at all times hereafter For Ever Warrant and Defend the
      said Land and Premisses thereunto belonging or in any Wise Appertaining
      unto him the said Lewis Duvall his Heirs and Assigns against all manner
      of Person or Persons whatsoever Claiming or which may Claim any Right
      Title Interest of in or to the same or any Part or Parcell thereof by
      Virtue of any Deed or Instrument of WRiting from the said John Philpot
      and John Hutchinson their Heirs or Assigns and the said Bartholomew
      Pomeroy and Joseph Janson their Heirs and Assigns shall and will at the Request
      and at the Cost and Charges ^in^ at the Law of the said Lewis Duvall his heirs
      and Assigns do make Acknowledge Suffer and Execute any Deed or Instrument
      as the said Lewis Duvall his heirs or Assigns or his or their Council Learned
      in the Law shall Reasonably Advise Devise or Require for the further and better
      Assurance Surety or Sure making of the said Land and Premisses to him the
      said Lewis Duvall his heirs and Assigns forever against the said John Philpott
      and John Hutchinson their Heirs and Assigns and that he the said Lewis Duvall
      his heirs or Assigns shall and may forever at all times hereafter and Quietly hold
      have use Occupy Possess and Enjoy the said Land and Premisses without the Lett
      suit trouble or Desturbance of them the said John Philpott and John Hutchinson their heirs
      or Assigns or of any Other Person or Persons Whatsoever Claiming any manner of Right
      Title or Interest from the said John Philpott and John Hutchinson their Heirs and Assigns

      Know all Men by these Presents that we Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph
      Janson of London Merchants surviving Assignees of John Philpott and John Hutchinson
      late of London Merchants Bankrupts have made Ordained Constituted and appointed
      and by these Presents do make Ordain Constitute and appoint Brian Philpot of
      Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Merchant our true and Lawful Attorney
      for us and in our stead to Acknowledge the within Writing to be our Act and Deed
      and the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of the
      within mentioned Lewis Duvall his Heirs and Assigns for ever which said
      Acknowledgment after the same shall be made according to the directions of an
      Act of Assembly of Maryland in such Cases made and provided we the said
      Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson do promise by these presents shall be as
      Effectual in Law to all Intents and Purposes as if we the said Bartholomew
      Pomeroy and Joseph Janson had acknowledged the same in Person In Witness
      Whereof we have hereunto set our Hands and seals the eighth Day of May

      of Writing and made Oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they severally saw the within
      Named Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson Sign Seal & as their and each of their Act and Acts
      Deed and Deeds deliver the same to and for the uses and Purposes therein mentioned and that Adam
