I, Jane Digges of CC, being in perfect health of body, disposing mind memory and understanding;
To son John Diggs, negroes; Solomon, Mike, Paul, Jane and Alice.
To son Henry Diggs, negroes; Harry & his wife Henny, Sarah & Suckey daughters of Henney & Harry.
To son Francis Diggs, negroes; Bob & his wife Sarah, Peter son of Bob & Sarah.
To granddaughter Maria Diggs, negroes; Marey and Mintey.

ii. John Digges was born ABT 1785 in Charles County, Maryland. He married Jane Smith. She was born ABT 1789.

Nov 1, 1785 from the Revd Charles Henry Wharton of Newcastle County, Delaware, to Cornelious Barber of St. Mary's County, for 1200 £, all that part of a tract of land in CC called Baltimores Gift, containing about 300 acres of land, marsh included, of which Jane Digges, aunt of the sd Charles Henry Wharton died seized. Signed - Charles H. Wharton. Wit - W Perry, Wm Hayward.
