"being of sound and disposing mind and memory ..."
Bequeaths to:
1. Joseph White Clagett --friend
Henry Waring --friend (of Montgomery County)
-to have the following tracts or parcels of land:
"His Lordship's Favor" and "Barron Point"--the same being
adjacent to the place of residence of the testator's son John Waring, Jr. and to hold the above lands in trust that they will allow and suffer the testator's son John Waring, Jr. to enter upon and occupy the said land for his natural life and at his death to the 1st son of the said John, Jr. and then to the 1st son, etc. and for want of sons to be divided among the daughters
2. Henry Waring, Jr. --son
-to have the testator's dwelling plantation called "Mount Pleasant Englarged" and also part of "Letchworth" adjoining to the dwelling plantation and also to have part of another tract of land called "Brookfield" which the testator purchased from William Bowie cont. 446 acres and also to have part of another tract of land lying in Anne Arundel County called "Sheckell's Chance" which the testator purchased from Richard H. Harwood, trustee for the Sheckells and others by order of the Chancellor
-to have Lot # 6 adjoining "Sheckell's Chance" on the river which the testator purchased from John Welch who purchased the said from the State of Maryland
-to have one third part of the remainder of the estate
-to hold one third part in trust for the use of testator's son John Waring, Jr. for his natural life
-named executor of the will
3. Henrietta Waring --wife
-to have one third part of the remainder of the estate not already given and should she choose to live at "Mount Pleasant" --then to have the use of the
whole dwelling plantation and "Letchworth" adjoining for the term of her
natural life

Codicil to the will:
1. Henry Waring --son
-whereas the testator has since the writing of the will purchased from
Jacob W. Brashers part ofa tract of land called "Love and Acquaintance"
or "Timber Land" where Henry now lives, then Henry to have the said land
-desires that the land left Henry in Anne Arundel County be sold and the
money from the sale be applied to the testator's debts.
2. John Waring, Jr.
-whereas in the will the testator left in trust for him during his natural life
a tract of land "Marsham's Rest" "Exchange" "His Lordship's Favor" now that part of "Marsham's Rest" as lies on the west side of the road that leads from Nottingham to Magruder's Ferry" cont. 170 acres it to be sold and the money arising from the sale to be used for the payment of John, Jr.'s debts for which the testator has become responsible for
