To son Philip, tract of land originally called "St Jerome's", lately resurveyed and called "Addition to St Jeromes".
To son Richard, all that part of "Portland Manor" lying on e.s.of a Great Branch called "Cabin Branch", given to me by my grandfather Col. Henry Darnall, 516 acres, also 208 acres which I bought of Mr. John Darnall, being part of "Portland Manor"; also 124 acres I had of my son Philip, in exchange for "St Jeromes", called "Part of Berckhead's Parcel" etc. and 300 pounds sterling and negroes; and also 20 head of cattle; 20 head of sheep; 20 head of hogs and 5 work horses.
To son Bennett, 11 Negroes, including those he has; 300 pounds sterling. (Stock etc. as to Richard)
Also to sons Richard and Bennett, 3 lotts of ground at Pigg Point in Anne Arundel County, with houses thereon.
To daughter Henrietta Darnall, negroes (stock etc. at to sons),
Whereas I let Capt. Leonard Brooke, upon his marriage with my daughter, Ann Darnall, have use of four Negroes, I give them to my granddaughter, Ann Darnall Brook.
To my daughter Mary Hill, Negroes
To my grandaughters Elizabeth and Ann Hill, daughters of Mary Hill
Speaks of sums advanced for son, Henry Bennett Darnall, as equivalent to his proportionate share of estate and that said sums shall be in full of said son's part.

Signed - Henry Darnall, C Mannoe, Eliz. Darnall. Wit - Richard Keene*, Tho Owen*. This deed was acknowledged by Henry Darnall and Elizabeth, his wife. This Indenture made this thirtieth day of August
in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty
Seven Between Hancock Lee of Prince Georges County
Gentleman of the one part and Richard Smith of the Same County
Gentleman of the other part, Whereas Richard Bennett
Esquire by his Last Will and Testament in Writing duly
made devised unto Eleanor Buchanan before her Marriage
with Loyd Buchanan of Baltimore County Gentleman by
the Name of Eleanor Darnall and Elizabeth Smith before
her Marriage with the Said Richard Smith by the name
of Elizabeth Darnall Daughters of Henry Darnall of
Portland Mannor all his Estate Right and Title of in &
unto his two Tracts of Land lying in Cecil County the one
Called Hazlemore and the other called the Grove to them &
the Heirs of their bodys to be Equally divided Between
Them which Said Tracts of Land by a Resurvey thereon
were by the Said Richard Bennett United and Consolidated
into one Tract of Land Called Bennetts Grove to them and the
heirs of their bodys to be Equally devided Between them as by
Reference being had the said last Will now Recorded in the
Prerogative Office of this Province of Maryland may more fully
and at Large appear and Whereas after the Death of the Said
Richard Bennett the Said Eleanor and Elizabeth Devisees as
aforesaid Entered into and were Seized of the Premisses in fee
Tail as Tenants in Common And Whereas afterwards for the
Purpose of Vesting of an Absolute Estate in fee Simple in the
aforesaid Elizabeth in one undivided Moiety of the Premisses
aforesaid the Said Elizabeth did permitt and Suffer the aforesaid
Henry Darnall to Recover against her the Said Elizabeth
One hundred ^undevided^ Moiety of the Premisses aforesaid by
Writ of Entry Sur Disseisin in le Post as by the Record and Proceedings of
and upon the Said Recovery remaining among the Records
of the Provincial Court of this Province Reference being
thereunto had may more fully appear and Whereas also the
said Richard Smith and Elizabeth Smith wife of the Said
Richard Smith by Indenture of Bargain and Sale bearing
Date the twenty ninth Day of August in the year of our
Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty seven made or
mentioned to be made by and Between the said Richard
Smith and Elizabeth Smith his Wife by the Name of Richard
Smith of Prince Georges County Gentleman and Elizabeth
Smith wife of the Said Richard Smith and Daughter of
Henry Darnall of Ann Arundel County of the one part
and Hancock Lee of Prince Georges County Gentleman
of the other part did and Each of them did give grant bargain
and sell for the Consideration in the Said Indenture mentioned
unto the said Hancock Lee his heirs and assigns for Ever all
and Singular the Premisses aforesaid as by the Said Indenture
relation being thereunto had may more fully and at Large
Appear now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Hancock
Lee for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ten Shillings Sterling to him
in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these
Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and for
Divers other Good Causes and Considerations him in this respect
moving Have Given Granted Bargained and Sold Released
Confirmed and Enfeoffed unto the Said Richard Smith his heirs
and Assigns for Ever and by these Presents do Give Grant
Bargain and Sell Release Confirm and Enfeoff unto the Said
Richard Smith his heirs and Assigns for Ever all his the Said
Hancock Lee's undivided Moiety of an din the aforesaid Premisses
with the appurtenances together with all Buildings Orchards
Gardens Fences Improvements Priveledges and Heridetaments
whatsoever to the above Premisses belonging or in any manner
Appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder &
Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof with their and
Every of their Rights and all the Estate Right Title Interest
Possession Property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him
the said Hancock Lee to or out of the Same To Have
and To Hold the Same and all and Every part and Parcell
of the aforesaid Premisses herein before mentioned or intended
to be hereby given Granted Bargined and Sold Released
Confirmed or Enfeoffed unto the said Richard Smith his heirs
and Assigns for ever To the ow^on^nly Proper use and behoof of
him the said Richard Smith his heirs and assigns for
Ever and the said Hancock Lee for himself his heirs
Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant and agree
to and with the said Richard Smith his heirs & assigns
shall at any time hereafter at the reasonable request Charges
and Cost in the Law of the Said Richard Smith his Heirs
or Assigns make and in due form of Law Execute and Suffer
Such further Conveyance or Conveyances assurance or assurances
And Such further reasonable Act or Acts do and Perform as may
or shall be by the Said Richard Smith his Heirs and
or Assigns his or their Council Learned in the Law advised
devised or Required for the further and better assuring the Premisses
with their Appurtenances unto the Proper use and Behoof of
the Said Richard Smith his Heirs and assigns for Ever In
Testimony whereof the aforesaid Hancock Lee hath
hereunto Affixed his hand and Seal the day and year first

Fifty Nine Between Henry Darnall of Ann Arundell County
Merchant of the one Part and Nicholas Lowe Darnall of
Baltimore County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth
that the said Henry Darnall in Consideration and for the
Natural Love and Affection which he hath and beareth unto
the said Nicholas Lowe Darnall and for Divers other good
Causes and Considerations him the said Henry Darnall
thereunto Moving Hath Given Granted Aliened Enfeoffed and
Confirmed And by these Presents doth fully and Absolutely Give
Grant Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said Nicholas Lowe
Darnall and his Heirs forever all that One thousand Acres of
Land being one Moyety of his Tract or parcel of Land
called the Land of Promise Laying in Baltimore County and
upon the head of Gunpowder River and upon the North side
of the South Branch of the Said River and ^is^ on Butted and
Bounded as followeth Viz.t Beginning at a stone now
fix't at the Division line between him and his Brother Henry
Bennett Darnall in the third line of the Original survey
of the said Land and running thence North Fifty One and a half Degrees
West Two hundred and Fifty Nine Perches to a Red Oak Mentioned in
the Original Grant thence South West Six hundred and Eighty two
Perches to the South Branch of Gunpowder River thence South fifty
four Degrees and a Quarter East Two hundred and Ninety Nine Perches
To the Dividing Line thence North forty two Degrees and a Quarter East
six hundred and Seventy Perches to the Stone fixt for the Beginning
Laid out for and Computed to be one thousand Acres of Land more or less
Together with all and Singular the Plantations Houses Buildings Edefices
and Improvements whatsoever thereon or thereunto belonging To Have
and to Hold the said One thousand Acres of Land part of the said
Tract of Land called the Land or Promise unto the said Nicholas Lowe
Darnall and his Heirs for Ever And to the only proper use Benefitt
and Behoofe of him the Said Nicholas Lowe Darnall and his Heirs
for Ever ^more^ And to no other use Intent or purpose whatsoever so that
neither the Said Henry Darnall his Heirs nor Assigns nor any of
them nor any Person nor Persons whatsoever Claiming or to Claim
by from or under him or them or any of them shall or will hereafter
Claim or Demand any Right Title Interest Estate Claim or property of in
or to the said One thousand Acres of Land (mentioned Expres't Butted
and Bounded as aforesaid) and premisses or to any Part thereof But
from all and every Action Right Title Estate Claim property or
Demand whatsoever of in and to the same the said Henry Darnall
and his Heirs and every of them shall ^be^ utterly Excluded and Debarr'd
for Ever by these Presents In Confirmation whereof the Parties to these

Intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before me according
to an Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided the Day

This Indenture made on the twenty Second day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred Sixty and one Between Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County Gentleman and Henry Darnall Jun.r of the Same County Eldest Son and Heir of the said Henry Darnall the Elder of the one Part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Esq.r of the other Part Witnesseth that the Said Henry Darnall the Elder and Henry Darnall the Younger for and in Consideration of five Pounds Sterling and Divers other Large Sums of Money to them in hand paid The receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof and every Part thereof him the Said Charles Carroll Do acquit Exonorate and Discharge Have Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliend Enfeoft & Confirmed and by these Presents Do give grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever All their Estate Right Title and Interest which they now have or hereafter at any Time may have of and in remainder or Remainders Reversion or Reversions in all the Several Tracts or Parcels of Land following to wit All that Tract or Parcel of Land called the Addition containing by Pattent Nine hundred and forty Acres more or less Three hundred Acres of Land being part of his Lordships Kindness adjoining to the said Addition and whereon the Dwelling House of the said Henry Darnall the Elder now Stands And also all that Parcel of Land called Toogood now in the Possession of the said Henry Darnall containing one hundred Acres more or less And also all that other Part or Parcell of Land now in the Possession of the said Henry Darnall the Elder called and known by the Name of Pitchcroft and also all the Negroes Horses Cattle sheep Hogs Houshold Goods Furniture and all the Personal Chattels which the said Henry Darnall the Elder now has or ought to have or has any Claim Right or Title to To have and to Hold ^all^ the said Lands with all Houses out Houses Improvements Advantages Commodities thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and all the Negroes Horses Cattle Sheep Hogs Houshold Goods Furniture and all the Personal Chattels of what Kind or Nature soever unto him the Said Charles Carroll his Heirs and Assigns for ever And the said Henry Darnall the Elder and the said Henry Darnall the Younger do hereby Severally Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said Charles Carroll his Heirs or Assigns to Suffer a Common Recovery at the next Provincial Court to be held at Annapolis in September next ensuing the Date of these Presents of the Several Tracts or Parcels of Land aforesaid for the better and ore firm assurance of the Estate of him the said Charles Carroll and his Heirs for ever of and in the aforesaid Several Tracts or Parcels of Land with their and each of their appurtenances and also to do and execute any other Act or Acts Deed or Deeds Conveyance or Conveyances or such other assurance as his the said said Charles Carroll's Council learned in the Law shall advise Devise or Require In Witness whereof the Parties hereunto have interchangeably Set their Hands and Seals the Day and ^year^ first above written
